Elderberry Lake
Lochlyn walked around the lake early in the morning, yearning to swim. It was conflicting because he didn't know if jumping in the lake was allowed, and he wasn't one to break rules. The meet and greet was a total failure, he had arrived late and it was boring the whole way through anyway. His embarrasing entrance didn't help either. "I liked the food though," He thought hopefully. "the food was good.". At times like this he would usually create a rainbow and calm his nerves, but he couldn't let people see that. So he had to swim. Hoping to dear life that it was allowed, he jumped in.
Mabel arrived at the lake. The sun was shining off the water, and she breathed in the calming scent of nature. She stuck her hands in her pockets and walked out onto the dock. A light breeze was blowing out on the water. She sighed in content, glad to be away from her home in the noisy, crowded city.
Mabel jerked around, hearing a splash. She hadn't noticed the boy when she walked out, her focus solely on the water. She smiled, and cocked her head slightly at his thick accent. "Hey," she said. "Sorry I didn't notice that I wasn't alone. You alright?" she asked, trying to decide whether to be concerned or to laugh.
She winced and retrieved a towel from the shed near the lake. Mabel handed it to him for his head. She laughed, "Thanks, but I'm not sure what I would need 500,000 pounds for at this camp. Cian?"
She recognized the name but couldn't place it. Mabel sticks out her hand. "I'm Mabel," she says, grinning.

Mabel's eyes widened, then she blushed. "Yeah, I grew up in New York," she responds quietly. She concentrates on a stone laying a few feet away and floats it over to her. She grabs it out of the air and skips it over the water absentmindedly. She was normally very friendly, but now a strange wave of shyness had overtaken her.
((Hey! I'm back for the day whenever you want to continue :) ))
Mabel nodded, furrowing her brow. She figured he must mean that someone had leant him the suit to use, but wasn't completely sure. She approached the shed and smiled at the small shelf with skates lined up. Tugging down her hat, she turned to Lochlyn, studying his feet with a determined look on her face. "Let's see....maybe...these ones?" she asked, standing on her tiptoes to reach the shelf and pulling down a pair of skates.
Lochlyn shuffled awkawrdly as she was picking out skates for him, not sure if he should try and do something. Anything, as long as I'm not standing here useless . . . At her question, he walked closer to the shelf as well, as he had lagged behind before. "May as well try them on." He said, turned towards Mabel though she wasn't facing him. He backed up a bit and held out his hand.
Mabel huffed as she pulled the shoes down. She turned back to Lochlyn and handed him the shoes, gesturing to a small bench outside. "These should fit, but if they don't I'll grab another pair," she said, smiling. "They might feel a little tight, but that's fine as long as they aren't overly uncomfortable." She allowed him to pass to head outside and sat down on one end of the bench, pulling off her flats.
"Alright," He said, smiling back. Walking outside, he went and sat close but not next to Mabel, and started to take off his dress shoes, then slipping on his skates. They were slightly tight as she said, but he didn't seem to mind. The blade looked metal and the shoes itself like high-topped white tennis shoes. Not removing himself from the bench just yet, he glanced to the lake. It was definitely frozen. "Having never skated before, you'd think I should be scared." He said aloud, talking to no one in particular.
Mabel pulled the laces tight and wiggled her toes inside her skates. They fit perfectly. She placed her shoes on the bench and zipped up her jacket. She listened to Lochlyn and laughed. "You'll be fine! There's nothing to be scared of," she said, hoping her voice sounded reassuring. Mabel pushed herself up off the bench and took a few steps in her skates, trying to get used to the feeling. The material was still pretty stiff from never being worn, but not too bad. She pulled off her hat and quickly braided her hair into one long braid, then put the hat back on.
Mazo was observing them with a pair of binoculars, not very stealthy though. She let out a loud sneeze, alerting them of her presence, silently she cursed herself and her bloodline. She resumed her watching.
Mabel froze at the sound. She frowned and looked around, but shrugged and turned back to Lochlyn. Sounded like a person, but it must have just been an animal or something. She didn't bother searching for the source of the sound. Mabel smiled at Lochlyn and reached out her hand. "Be careful, the ground it a little rough leading down to the lake, I don't want you to fall," she said.
Not noticing the sneeze out of pure thought and concentration, Lochlyn blinked and looked up at her, just finished fixing his skates. "O-Ok," He said feeling his face pink before he blinked that off as well. Grabbing her extrended hand and standing up off the bench, he steadied his skates to stand on the ground. "I'm sure I'll be fine though-" He reassured quickly, though he didn't really know if he really would be.
Mabel grinned and began to walk towards the lake. She kept hold of Lochlyn's hand, whether that be to help him balance or for another reason. She approached the edge of the lake. "You'll be great," she said, itching to get out on the ice for the first time in a few months. "Just stay with me and everything will be alright." She peered towards the center of the lake, but luckily it seemed to be frozen through.
Mazo walked out of the forest and onto the lake in her bear feet, she had removed her coat and her outer layer of pants, she was still dressed obviously but it was a lot thinner than is really healthy to wear in such cold.
Lochlyn felt very embarrased, but decided just to nod. "We go at the same time?" He asked, eyeing the thick but ominous ice, even though it had a shiny beautiful glitter. Besides, it can't be that hard, right? Using his free hand to brush hair out of his face, he started to feel more confident. Maybe a bit too confident in himself. Suddenly, he noticed Mazo walking barefoot on the ice, and became ten times more embarrased and very confused.
Mabel nodded, stepping onto the ice. She was looking around the lake when she noticed Mazo stepping onto the ice. She squinted at her. "Is that...is she...?" she fumbled for words, pointing to the girl on the frozen lake. She frowned and looked at him, wondering what he thought of the spectacle. She took another step on the ice, waiting for Lochlyn to step down before pushing off.
Lochlyn, as he would, started contemplating all the different scenarios that could happen. Why is she even walking on the ice? That's GOT to be cold, I hope she doesn't get frostbite. Is she even a she? I think. Yeah, thats a she. What if she sees? She wouldn't even care, dumbass! What are you even doing, pay attention to the present! "I don't even know," He said, replying to her fumbling with a very concerned and confused tone. Noticing her put a foot on the ice, he did as well, almost slipping but catching balance. BAD IDEAS- but also not - but BAD IDEAS-
Mazo just kinda strolled on the ice. (It's really easy if you know what your doing." She was not slipping at all, apparently putting her weight forward, occasionally gliding. The cold didn't appear to bother her in the least, in fact it appeared to be pleasant.
Mabel shivered. It was freezing out, and even in a hat and winter coat, she was cold. Should we go see what's going on? Her eyes widened as Mazo began "skating" around that side of the lake. She shook her head in disbelief. She turned back to Lochlyn. Noticing his near slip, she held out her free arm for balance and gripped his hand tighter. "You ready? Once you get on the ice you'll be fine," she said, starting to skate slowly backwards. Hopefully he'll be fine. He'll be fine, right?
Meanwhile Mazo is just like: Ha ha, Skate goes burr)
Mazo sat down in the middle of the lake, enjoying the cold. A gust of wind blew her right at Mabel and Lochlyn at a limited speed. Due to the ice and occasional extra gust, she ended up face planting right at Mabel's feet.

Lochlyn was about to nod back to Mabel when he heard a loud 'THUD'. It went by quickly, so he didn't notice when she was blowing towards them, but he immedietly panicked when she face-planted at Mabel's feet. "ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?" He said quickly, wondering what else he could possibly do. "Hey wait, you're that one girl from the cabin right? The Raven? Do you need first aid!?"
((Ah, my panicking bean. I draw and create too many femboys so forgive me if I mess up his character sometimes XD))

((Ahahaha we love him anyway ))
Mabel shrieked and slid backwards, nearing falling. "WHAT the...Mazo?" Her eyes went even wider when she finally got a good glimpse of who it was. Her heart was racing. "What are you doing here? Wait. I thought I heard someone watching us earlier, was that you?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at the girl still on the ice.
Mazo decided to play dead and pray that another gust of wind would get her away, alas it decided not to. "Sorry, I wanted to see if you liked them but then I got all embarrassed.." Mazo said, looking seriously embarrassed by this all. "And I'm fine, just kinda stuck here."

Mabel paled visibly when Mazo began explaining. Her mouth opened, but words refused to come out. She turned to Lochlyn and felt a blush spread over her cheeks. "Oh, umm, alright, I guess. Well...I'm happy you are alright," she said. She wasn't sure what else to say, and quickly closed her mouth which had been gaping open.
"Sorry, you were trying to get into his pants right." She asked jokingly in an attempt to get her a bit flustered. She sat up, her face was really red due to the extend time on the ice. "I'm kidding, unless?"
((OMFG LOCHLYN IS GOING TO DIE-))
((This is going to be interesting...))
Lochlyn almost stumbled backward into the snow and his face went bright red. His heart was beating fast and he felt like he might trip over himself. "N-NO!" He exclaimed quickly, feeling like he should let go of Mabel's hand but also 99% sure he would fall over if he did. "T-t-that's NOT what is going on at all!" His voice was embarrased and though it had the tone of a yell it was normal pitch. IsthereanypossiblityIcanhidinthebottomofawellsomewhere-
((I think my bean is going to turn into a tomato XD ))
((This is fabulous XD ))
A strangled sound came out of Mabel's throat as her brain took off, running away from the situation. She stood there frozen, mouth hanging open. As Lochlyn fell backwards she felt a tug on her hand and looked down at their hands still clasped together. She gulped and glanced back at Mazo. "Nonononono...i-it's not...that's not..." she forced out a laugh, but it sounded squeaky and nervous. OMG is this really happening??? Did she really just say that? Mabel felt like she was about to cry, or punch her, maybe freak out, or maybe all three?

Lochlyn couldn't speak anymore. DAMMIT IT'S BAD ENOUGH THAT AMIT MAKES FUN OF ME FOR HAVING A "CRUSH" BUT NOW MAZO SAID THAT AHHHHHHHH WHAT DO I DO!!! I DON'T!!! I SWEAR!!! MY MIND IS JUST FREAKING OUT FOR NO REASON!! AHHHHH WE'RE STILL HOLDING HANDS!! "I- I- . . . !!!" He felt like someone had taken air from his lungs. Suddenly, he felt like maybe letting go of her hand wasn't a bad idea, but part of him didn't allow him to let go. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!
So he stood, silently burning with blush.
So he stood, silently burning with blush.
"I'm kidding sheesh. That's a really cute expression on both of you though." She said, bent over chuckling at it. "Sorry, I'm not trying to be a dick to you two, I'll give you each 200$ if this never happened ok?" She said, completely serious now. "And that's not a joke, I was being a dick so would that make up for it?"
Mabel gulped again. She looked towards Mazo with wide eyes, listening. "Wait, n-no. It's...fine." She didn't want to accept Mazo's money, that just wasn't like her. Mabel faced Lochlyn with a sigh. "You alright? If you want to leave, I would totally understand," she said quietly, looking up at him. She wiped her free hand across her face, cursing herself for suggesting to come here.

Lochlyn, turned to her instantly, his face still red from before. "N-no it's fine . . ." He said, he voice getting quieter, and him turning away near the end. Although I still kinda wanna jump in a well . . . He thought bitterly, thinking about how his face was still red and he was still likely to fall over out of pure emotion.

Mabel bit her lip, thinking. "Alright. I mean, only if you're sure," she said. Her face fell as he turned away, and she did as well. She looked to Mazo, who was still laying on the ice, a pained expression on her face. She offered her a hand up, not looking her directly in the eye. This situation had started out perfectly, she was actually having a nice time and Lochlyn seemed to have been loosening up a bit.
"Ya, it's the least I can do for having fucked everything up, I am really sorry, Ill get you your money as soon as possible." Mazo said before getting up and running off, she proceeded to faceplant into the ice right before the shore. She had finally realized 'Damn it's cold.'
(( This is wonderful... Ken when Mazo said that I literally started cackling XD ))
((SAME XD I immedietly thought "Oh my god . . . this is going to DESTROY Lochlyn and Mabel." LMAO))
Ya, I really hope Mazo didn't ruin everything, if she did though, well time for rather thinly veiled attempts to get Mable to fall for Mazo, although some people you can't just yeet money at and they love you. Maybe she will try to force them (Loch and Mabel) to love each other, she has more than enough money to try)
((Haha we needed some drama, it will make a relationship more realistic and exciting ))

Elderberry Lake is a sparkling blue lake in the West part of camp. There is a dock reaching out into the center, with comfortable wooden chairs to sit and watch the beautiful sunset. Friends often eat lunch on the pier, and couples spend their nights under the stars. A lifeguard sits on duty during the busiest hours of the day. There are canoes, kayaks, and SUPs that can be taken out onto the lake, and beach towels are available on shore.
