Griffin looks through the comic books, eyes glittering, as he finds the ones he wants.
((Try to make the post a bit longer next time.))
Harper drags herself into the comic book store, her feet aching from walking all day and her arms stiff, from the heavy bags she's been lugging around.
She sets her four shopping bags down beside her feet and peers at the comic book shelf in front of her.
She twists up her face in utter confusion, not being able to tell the difference between Caption America and Caption Marvel.

((Sorry*2 another short post & for the wait again!))
Griffin smiles and tries to follow her gaze, "Which one are you looking at?"

((No prob!))
Harper pushes some of her frizzy black hair behind her ear and looks over at the boy, with a shy grin.
"I'm trying to find an Incredible Hulk comic for my little brother Noah's birthday this week," she explains, knowing she sounds like a total idiot for finding this task so difficult.
Harper looks back down at the shelf and sighs, wondering if she should just get Noah a toy truck this year.

Griffin nods and walks over to another bookshelf and points to the section that has the Incredible Hulk comics. "Those are on this shelf." smiling he asks, "How old is he?"
"He's six," Harper forces herself to reply, though she feels like a total bonehead. "Jesus, they were right in front of me!" she sighs, picking up her shopping bags and heading over to the comics.
"That's completely relatable. Sometimes i search for what I'm looking for when its already in my hand." Griffin smiles.
Harper gives him a genuine smile, then swipes one of the Incredible Hulk comics off of the shelf, not even bothering to read the title.
"I have a feeling you're only saying that to make me feel better. But thanks anyway, "she replies, turning to see how long the line is.

"Nah, i looked in the fridge for the ketchup for a solid three minutes till my sis pointed out it was in my hand this morning." Griffin laughs, flipping through the leaves of the comic.
Harpers laughs, then asks, "do you think my brother will like this comic? I mean is it like the newest one out?"
She stares down at the comic in her hand, imagining her brother, berating her for getting the wrong copy.
All she knew was that a big green monster was on the cover and his name was Hulk.

Griffin shrugs and bites his lip. "That's not the newest one, and i honestly didn't like that one that much. He might like it, but the newest one is gold and its three down from that one" Griifin swiftly picks up the comic he described and hands it to her.
Harper smiles again and gratefully accepts the new comic.
She puts the other one back on the shelf and says, "thanks. My brother would have had my head, if I'd given him that old comic. He's way too picky to be only turning seven."
Harper notices that there are now only three people in line.
Good, she thinks rather relieved.

Griffin laughs. "That would be bad. Glad I could help." He turns back to his comics and chooses three out of his pile, then makes for the check out line.
Harper picks up her four shopping bags, with her right hand, then stands behind Griffen in the check out line.
As they wait, she wonders if her mother Lisa, has ordered Noah's cake yet.
Probably not, Harper thinks, a bit annoyed.

Griffin counts out his money and places the rest of them in his pocket. He then waits impatiently for the people in front of him to finish checking out.
Harper sets her bags down and pulls out her phone.
She unlocks it, then goes to her messages.
She has none, which means either her mom hasn't seen the message, Harper sent about the cake or she's ignoring her.
Harper rolls her eyes, then shoves her phone back in her pocket.

Griffin peers at the person in front of him and their items. "How much stuff can you have on one shopping trip?" He mumbles to himself unhappily. Sighing he wonders where Mariah is. Probably doing her makeup or clothes or whatever. Why do girls spend so much time on their wardrobe?
Harper shoots her mother another quick text, reminding her to order Noah's cake, then peers around Griffin's shoulder to see the line's progression.
The same man that was there ten minutes ago, is still bothering the cashier about a discount he saw in a paper.
Harper supresses a groan.

Griffin looks at the back of his quarters as a last resort. Facepalming he finally realizes he has comics he can read while he's waiting. Uggh. I'm turning into Mom. I'll be walking into rooms and forgetting what i was doing there next.
Harper opens her phone again and starts playing Candy Crush.
She frowns when she misses an obviously clear match.
Her perfectionism gets the better of her as she erases the entire level and starts again.

Griffin reads the comic contently. His chores were well worth what he got in his opinion. The plot twist from the previous one is even twistier than he first thought.
Harper plays Candy Crush, without missing a single match for twelve straight minutes.
She reaches a high score, then puts her phone in her pocket, wanting to leave on a high note.
The man from the front of the line, is finally paying for his absurd amount of comics.
Three seconds later he leaves.

((Ok, i wasn't sure! XD :) ))
Griffin flips through another page and moves forward in the line without looking up because he is so engrossed.

Harper's phone dings, letting her know she has a message.
With a sigh, she retrieves her phone from her pocket.
She unlocks it then clicks open her messages.
Hey Harp! Can you pick up Noah's cake? The text reads.
Harper frowns.

Griffin smiles as the comic warps into more action. Fighting escalates, and like always a plot twist is forming.
Harper rolls her eyes at the slower, than molasses line.
She looks at the comic in her hand, wondering how disappointed Noah would be if she got him that toy truck instead.

Mariah walks out of the women's dapartment with bags in her hands. She starts walking again then stops when she passes by another shop and she walks into another store. She looks at some of the outfits and frowns. "I will never wear anything like that" She mutters and walks out rolling her eyes.
((At least three sentence paragraphs please!))
Griffin flips the last page of the comic and sighs. The plot twist at the end of this one was the fact the previous plot twist wasn't actually solved. Griffin stuffs the first comic to the bottom of his pile and eagerly picks up the second.
Harper checks the time on her phone and frowns, when she sees the time reads 4:30.
She has been statnding in line for fifteen minutes.
Realizing that she'll be late to pick up Noah's cake, if she stands in line a minute longer, she grabs her shopping bags, sets the comic back on the shelf and exits the comic book store.

The lady in front of him is paying. About time, he thinks as he gingerly turns another age.
She slides down the escaltor with the bags still in her hand. The people around her shoot her dirty looks but she ignores it and keeps sliding down.
He pays for the comics and walks out of the comic store. Engrossed in his book and not paying attention he trips and falls. Groaning he rubs his sore back.
Mariah passes by him and laughs, "Hey nice wipe out..are you okay?" She asks holding out a hand. She looks sincerely worried. She puts down her things, "Come on let me help you up"
Why do they make floors hard? Why can't it be grass or something? He shakes away the thought, nods and takes her hand.
She pulls him up, "You okay?" She asks. She runs a hand threw her black hair. She waits from him to answer just to be safe.
((You guys know they are siblings right?))
"I think I hurt my pride." he winces. Whatever that is, he thinks, Mom speaks so cryptically sometimes.
Taylor wrote: "((You guys know they are siblings right?))"
((Yeah))
((Yeah))
((I know that's why she helps him))
She smirks. "Yeah...were you anyway?" She asked. "Comic store?" She says already knowing the answer to the question.

He holds up the comics and smiles. "Yeah."
She turns the smirk into a smile, "I knew it..what comics did you get there today?" She asked picking up her shopping bags. She secretly liked comics but she wouldn't be caught dead in there so that was a big no-no so she depended on her brother to get her some comics.
"The newest ones. The continual of the plot twist from the last Spiderman edition." Griffin replies smiling. "I already read one of them in the store. The line was super slow today."
"Cool.." She says trying not to sound intrested. Then she whispers, "Can I read it after your done?" She asks looking around making sure no one heard her.
