Connie Miller | 37 comments This is actually the final book in a trilogy, which started with Tinker. The series is based on a fantastic premise, with what amounts to an alternate history. Due to various technological glitches, the city Of Pittsburgh, PA, is transported to another world by accident, after years of it being deliberately switched back and forth. Not just any planet, this is Elfhome, the planet where elves have always come from. And yes, they use some great, and some wicked, magic!

Love the characters in the series, and it is a fast-paced adventure. But you're not going to understand this without reading the first two books. Unlike many series, there is really no synopsis given, just references back within the characters' internal dialogue. Also, there was apparently a strike or some similar diversion on the part of the book's proofreaders; too many errors made it through that you would expect to see in ARCs, but not final print editions.

The balance of real science, technology, romance, action, and magic make this a very fun series. It's just too bad someone dropped the ball on the proofreading for the final book. Although it did not want to pull up initially, this is a Goodreads book. Here is the link.https://www.goodreads.com/series/4390...
