Cartoonist Grant Campbell has shunned the outside world, preferring to live and work alone—until a storm brings artist Geneviève Grandeau to the door of his lighthouse. Gruff and guarded, he offers her shelter for one night, never expecting how the glamorous beauty will affect the rest of his days…

Leane | 53 comments I haven't read this yet but I'm guessing the connection is Grant Campbell is related to Shelby Campbell?

Yes. He appeared in the last book, her brother.

No spoilers yet, but I do like the other relation I just read. :)

I’m getting a late start.

I finished this last night. I still struggle with how the men in these series are a bit forceful in their approach to romancing the women. Can’t understand why Grant kept grabbing and shaking Gennie. Threw me out of the story every time.

However, I loved their careers! I learned so much about how a cartoon is crafted. And, Gennie’s painting was interesting.

I liked these two but struggled with what Gennie saw in Grant. He was a bit too nasty for my tastes.

Anyone else have a point of view?

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 343 comments I liked everything in this story except how Grant was such a jerk. I really loved Gennie but wondered why she would let him get away with it.

Karen, I had to work hard to like him.

Me too. I don't think I ever really got there...

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 343 comments Definitely but he will never be one of my favorite characters in this series.

I probably should not say never because in other series, authors have completely changed my mind about a character...lol
