Ashi Hiii! I’ll probably just post my book updates on here. I recently finished a conjuring of light, and I’m still recovering after that wonderful and heartbreaking ending :) I’m currently reading Winter, and it is sooo good!

message 2: by Ashi (new)

Ashi And I’m always looking for book recs:)

message 3: by Ashi (new)

Ashi @Maddie ACOL was a nice ending to the series! I personally like a gathering of shadows better, because there wasn’t that much of a plot in ACOL, yet for some reason while reading, it was so gripping! And I started to sympathize with Holland, and thought he got a perfect ending. I really expected that we’d get to know more about Kell and Lila’s past, especially Lila’s, so that was slightly disappointing. And Rhy and Alucard are sooo cute together!!

message 4: by Ashi (new)

Ashi I know!! (view spoiler)

message 5: by Ashi (new)

Ashi These are the books I'm hoping to read in November...
Shadows between us
Fairest
Stars above
Tower of Nero
Stalking Jack the ripper

message 6: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Hopefully, I'll be able to read more during Thanksgiving break

ouuuh I hope you enjoy Tower of Nero and Stalking Jack the Ripper!!! I read Stalking Jack the Ripper last month and it was one of my favourites!!! It is a little gruesome...so beware if you're not into that :)

message 8: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Thanks! Yeah, I’m not really into crime and blood and stuff, but I just want to try it and see cuz I keep hearing how awesome it is. I guess I’ll just skip all the gruesome parts😂 i mean that’s what I do whenever I read books with intense battle scenes...

message 9: by Ashi (new)

Ashi I walked for 5 miles today. The most I have ever walked at a time is not more than a mile. Needless to say...I'm in pain...But that walk was to the library, and I got Tower of Nero, so I would say the torture was totally worth it!

message 10: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Haha thanks lol. I feel accomplished.

message 11: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Hey guys, how are you all? I finished Fairest, and I’m currently reading Stars Above and Tower of Nero. Fairest was sooo good! I also love all the short stories in Stars Above. I’m going to read tower of Nero very slowly because I don’t want it to end lol. I randomly flipped through the book, and I saw a Percabeth scene, and now I’m happy. Also, I want Calypso and Leo to break up, but I don’t think that’ll happen :/

message 12: by Joyce (new)

Joyce | 2030 comments Aaaaaah I'm like silently kicking myself (cuz I want to tell you something...but that will be spoiling xD) let me know when you finish it! (I'm taking about Tower of Nero btw!)

I hope you enjoy it!

message 13: by Ashi (new)

Ashi @Joyce Thanks! I actually read a lot of the spoilers for Tower of nero cuz I needed to know what happened lol. But I'll definitely let you know when I finish it :)

@Mel Sameee!! Winter and Jacin's relationship makes so much sense. I actually like Winter better now.

message 14: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Has anyone read An Ember in the Ashes? I want to start it, but I wanna make sure it's really good before starting.

hahahha that was me with the House of Hades xD I couldn't afford to buy the book and it took long to get at my library sooo I just read through the spoilers cuz I couldn't wait xD

Ashi Mel wrote: "eh, Cinder and Kai are cuter imo lol"

Obviously nothing beats Cinder and Kai, but I hated Jacin and Winter before, and they've become more tolerable now.

Ashi Ugh I spent 15 hours over the last 2 days writing 10 mini essays on Japanese history. And then we were randomly chosen to present a random question in class, so of course I get the one question that I didn't answer well, and now I'm crying on how the world is so unfair...

message 22: by rania (new)

rania | 222 comments Oof that sucks. Don’t worry, you’ll get through it. I have faith:)

message 23: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Thanks Mel and Rania! I'm probably overreacting anyway, as I do with everything lol

AAAAH YOU FINISHED!!!! YAY!!!

isn't it such a bittersweet moment finishing this :'( (like happy to finishing it but sad cuz it's over)
*fingers crossed* we get to more content of them some time in the near future :)

Ooh nice!!

message 30: by Ashi (new)

Ashi @Joyce I know!! It’s like I don’t even care for the series, yet it feels like my 7 year journey with the entire half blood chronicles has come to an end :(
(view spoiler)

message 31: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Wait I just realized there's probably not going to be another series. There's this quote that Will said: "every story just leads into another story", and I'm positive it was Uncle Rick's way of telling people that there will always be more stories to tell, but that doesn't mean he'll write them. But I could be wrong.

message 32: by Joyce (new)

Joyce | 2030 comments sooo I just did some research...

on Oct.16 Uncle Rick tweeted

"There's definitely a Nico novel that *could* be written." - Rick

.....
.....
.....

idk what to make of this...I don't want to get my hopes up! I'm just going to assume that like it's a possibility, but not in the making any time soon :/

message 33: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Ahhh a nico book is everything I want in life🤣 But I also don’t wanna see him suffer anymore...

It’s probably not gonna come anytime soon as I’m pretty sure uncle Rick is probably busy with the tv show

message 34: by Ashi (new)

Ashi I finished invisible life of addie larue, and it was so, so beautiful!!! There were sooo many quotes, and it took up 8 whole pages in my quotes diary! My hand was slightly cramped, but it was so worth it lol.

message 35: by Ashi (new)

Ashi Happy December!! Still can't believe it's December already. But I just have to somehow survive the next 3 weeks of school, and I'll be good.
Books I read in november:
Shadows Between Us
Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Fairest
Stars Above
Tower of Nero
The Heir
The Invisible life of addie larue
The Demigod Files

Other than the Heir, all of these were really, really amazing!! But my favorite would have to be invisible life of addie larue, and least favorite was the Heir. And I actually read much more than I expected to, probably because I spent November procrastinating on a lot of my work lol.

message 36: by Joyce (new)

Joyce | 2030 comments ouuuh I might need to check out The Invisible life of Addie Larue sooner!!! :D Glad you had an amazing reading month :)

message 37: by Ashi (new)

Ashi YESS I LOVED THAT BOOK SO MUCH!!!

message 38: by Livi (new)

Livi Whoa congrats on a great reading month.

message 39: by Ashi (new)
