you don't have to, but i recommend reading the lux series before the origin series coz it's a companion to lux & it's also amazing so it'd be worth it.

Nice! I just finished a graphic novel and I should be able to finish a second one today. I’m reading Plain Bad Heroines, Red Scrolls of Magic, and Red Queen. (Also, a poetry book, but it’s for school so that reading is going slowly since I *have* to pace it.)

Hope you enjoy them, they all sound great! I loved the Red Queen series so much, so I hope you enjoy that too! I’ve actually been considering reading Red Scrolls of Magic since I’ve read a lot of Cassandra Clare’s other books, so I’d be curious to know what you think about it! :)

message 25: by akacya ❦ (new)

akacya ❦ (akacya) Thanks, I hope you enjoy yours too! Red Queen is interesting so far, but I think it would be easier to read a physical copy. (I checked it out on Libby.) Still getting used to ebooks, lol.

I’ve read everything by Cassie *except* The Eldest Curses. Idk what took me so long to get around to them!!

P.S. Sorry this isn’t a reply to your comment; I’m on mobile currently.

Oh lol that’s fine! I’ve read most of Cassie’s books too! My favourites would probably be The Mortal Instruments, Lady Midnight and Chain of Gold. I really want to read Chain of Iron when it’s released too! Do you have a favourite book by her? :)

message 27: by akacya ❦ (new)

akacya ❦ (akacya) The Dark Artifices is definitely my favorite! I love all of the characters so much!!! I can’t wait for Chain of Iron, either. The Last Hours might take TDA’s place as my favorite series by her.

Who’s your favorite TSC character?

I can’t choose a favourite, but I love Cordelia, Tessa, Lucie, Maia, Jem, Emma and so many more!! I ship Cordelia and James together, so I hope the issues from Chain of Gold will be resolved in Chain of Iron (and they’ll get rid of Grace’s bracelet), and I also ship Lucie and Jesse together!! Do you have a favourite character or character ship?

message 29: by akacya ❦ (new)

akacya ❦ (akacya) I love those characters, too!!! I think my favorite characters ever are Ty, Tessa, Simon, and Julian, but sooo many characters hold a special place in my heart so it’s hard to choose! My favorite ship is probably Kitty, but sadly, they’re not canon (yet).

I really want to read The Wicked Powers, and see how Kit and Ty’s relationship will develop! The world-building and characters are written so well, and I can’t wait to read more of Cassie’s books!!

I’ve finished Girls With Razor Hearts, and it was such a powerful story which raised issues about Women rights and other concerns in society! I’d highly recommend the Girls With Sharp Sticks series! I’ll be adding my review to the reviews thread once I finish writing my review! :)

I’d highly recommend it! I haven’t really read much this month since I’ve been busy, but I am close to finishing King of Scars, and I’m thinking of reading Tweet Cute or A Gathering of Shadows or The Shadow Wand next. What are you guys currently reading? :)

They both sound really interesting! I’ve actually watched the movie adaption of The Goldfinch, but I found it to be kinda long and boring even though it had a good concept. Good luck finishing it though! :)

Hi guys! How are you? My school break is coming to an end so I finally have more time to read. I just finished The Tower of Nero which I loved, and I’m close to finishing The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue which is amazing so far! :)

I’m good. I’m glad I liked Tower of Nero too, Apollo’s character development was just amazing and he’s come such a long way, and I was so proud of how he changed for the better. I’d highly recommend The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, it’s such a sad but beautifully written story of the passing of time, and I’m just loving it so far! :)

message 43: by akacya ❦ (new)

akacya ❦ (akacya) He definitely did have an amazing character arc, I loved it.

So many people hype the book up so I’m sure it’s good, I just haven’t been able to get the audiobook!

Sorry for trespassing. It's great you guys liked Tower of Nero. I have much more to catch up with you all. I mean, I have only read the first book in the series! I am hoping to read the series soon. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is in my tbr, so I'll be reading it soon too.

Oh it’s fine. It’s kinda sad that the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles have come to an end for now, but I’ve heard Rick might be planning some standalone novels set afterwards, so that sounds interesting! I finished The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue last night, and I loved it! I’m currently writing my review for it. I will admit the story can be a bit slow to get into, but it’s worth it, and I would highly recommend it! :D
