Here are our discussion questions for Campaign Widows:
Ice Breaker - How do you plan to create ambiance and atmosphere for The Autobiography of Santa Claus next month? Is there music you plan to listen to, a candle to burn, snacks that pair well, etc.?
What was your experience reading Campaign Widows and how many 🗳 (ballots) would you rate it?
Which widow did you most relate to? Which widow would you want to be friends with and why?
Campaign Widows shows us a behind the scenes peek at election season. Did this fictionalized account from several perspectives (party planner, commentator, campaign stuff, journalist and reporter) give you any new insight into our elections?
What would each widow have to say about the idea of “having it all,” the notion of successfully balancing personal and professional lives? How does this theme relate to your own life?
How is the theme of interdependence woven throughout the novel? What type of message does the story send about believing in yourself and taking chances?
Discuss the tone at the end of the novel. How did you feel about the way the author chose to conclude the story?

The year is winding down and in the U.S. (and some other countries I believe) Election season is in fully swing.
I know in the U.S. tensions are extremely high no matter which way you vote (or don't vote) and it's a little scary out there. But instead of letting the news get us down, the Paper & Glam Book Club is here to bring some lightness into the darkness surrounding this season.
Campaign Widows by Aimee Agresti promises to be a fun, lighthearted pick for 2020 as we follow the wives and partners who are left behind while their significant others hit the campaign trail in varying capacities. A tale of individualism, patriotism, and sisterhood in some ways you may or may not expect.
