@Michelle Starting it tomorrow works for me, or well continuing it because I already started it. Actually tomorrow would work much more, because around the 12th I'll have some other buddy reads.

I think yes, I've read only one other book from him I don't remember much but I think it was in the same tone. As for this book.. I think I already know what's going to happen, because I may have read a spoilery thing a while back, but I don't know how and other things.
I looked up your shelf, you haven't read The Final Girls.. do you maybe want to read that too after we finish with this one, and our BR schedule is not so hectic?

Mine too, this and the next week are a bit hectic. How about the last week of the month?
* Wow, the author that wrote her favorite book was so rude. I felt really bad for Jules.
* I'm wondering why Ingrid lied and what's behind that scream.
chapter 24 (view spoiler)
chapter 26(view spoiler)
chapter 27(view spoiler)
I thought of stopping after the chapters for day two, however, things are starting to get interesting, and since I don't know how much I'll be able to read in the following days I'll continue reading and high chances finish it now.

I thought I could finish it tonight, but I'm feeling sleepy so I'm stopping after chapter 33 hoping I'll have time to finish it tomorrow and finally get to know what's going on.

Yes how she handled Andrew showing up was childish, but it worked to get him out of there. Also can't believe he was asking for money. WTF!!!
It all feels a bit shady to me. Hoping Nick is not involved. Weird that he is into her though. Just some random girl who is at a low point.
The articles about the servants dying of disease in the long ago past. Makes me think haunted, but the other book makes me think it is tenants.
Liking it for sure
I have one BR starting today, but tomorrow I'll add two more to the list 😅
Andrew was such a sleaze I don't know what him appearing brought to the story. So far it looks like it only pushed Jules to sleep with Nick and have some kind of relationship with him.. and if he is involved in whatever that would make a bigger betrayal.. otherwise he was not needed.
I don't find it that weird that Nick is into her even though she's at a low point, it could happen 🤷 But with that whole situation it's suspicious.
I think Sager makes something look paranormal but actually is only humans to blame. I thought he maybe did paranormal when we read Home before dark, but now at his third book I think that's not his thing.
I'm liking it too, definitely more than Home before dark and The Last time I lied, but let's see how things are going to end.

I definitely enjoyed this one more than the other books. I really hope The Final Girls will be great too.

You called several things. Bad news texting all the info out and then why Andrew was there.
Yes had no idea about the organ "donor" aspect. So many clever things, getting Ingrid to cut her for blood type/medical info. Thought it stupid of Ingrid to give out her medical info. When the girl came to interview and Jules was hiding under the bed, the girl wasn't chosen on the spot like Jules because she had family.
There are still people that think they are "superior" to others. We have come a long way on that, but still more to go as a society.
I love a thriller with twists and turns. Fun read
It really was a thriller with good twists and turns.
I know there are still those type of people, it's just.. wow. But as you said we've come a long way and still have more to go.
Are you okay with starting the Final Girls on the 22st-23rd? Or you can say when it works for you.
