I’m at page 133 and to be honest, I’m not that into it. I find it a bit hard to connect with each character because the narrative changes so much. The suspense is good though!;)

That is what I am worried about. I did not care for Girl on the Train, so my opinion is already tainted for this one going in!

Ha - yeah! Let's just say I was not happy the group picked this one, but the group has spoken, so I accept it! ;)

Aw, shucks! I try! 😁

At beginning of this one it was a struggle to get oriented. Lots of jumping around plots and time periods from the get go.
I agree that it was hard to orient on this one. It took so long that I was kind of bored with it. I didn't realize it was the same author as GotT until after I read it. I probably wouldn't have picked it up if I had known that.
It was probably better I didn't know because then I know I gave the book a fair chance.

Wow! That's impressive that you did not know that going in as that is all I remember about it when it first came out . . . and is why I avoided it. I do wish I could have been the same so I could have approached it with an untainted opinion, but I don't think it would have made much difference.

I’m 22% through - I never read TGotT so I don’t have any bias of the author. I would say that I’m intrigued by the writing about the water and it’s mysterious pull, but I’m not loving the characters. It is jumping around a lot, but I don’t mind that part for now. Starting to get ready though for some more fluid thoughts in a row.

After I was done with this book I was definitely ready for some more fluid thoughts in a row! :D
