For winter we are reading memoirs.

We allow donkeys and mules! But you might want to keep these for a donkey challenge in the future.
Just a few suggestions from my own shelves.
Author Hilary Walker
is giving away a memoir called First Catch Your Horse: The Autobiography of an Awful Rider with Aspirations
This is under 80 pages so you can easily fit it in this year. To get the book you will need to join Hilary's newsletter list, but she is a dedicated horse lover and only mails once a month.

How do I suggest my book, The Best That Can Happen: The Grand Trek, for this challenge? It's a memoir about when I decided to ride from coast to coast?

I've set up a Goodreads promo on my website - 50% off for Goodreads members through Jan 31 2021! https://www.thegrandtrek. Print, ebook and audiobook. Large Print version by request. Enter promo code Goodreads50% at checkout.
This is a good idea, and you might want to repeat it in the Promotions folder for better visibility.
I just finished reading The Horses of Second Wind Farm: Their Lives - Our Lessons
Lovely book, gorgeous photos.

To finish up my challenge in a day I picked First Catch Your Horse: The Autobiography of an Awful Rider with Aspirations
and I have just spent a happy Sunday morning reading about other people's problem buys, which the Germans call scheudenfreude.
Yes, I can recommend this one.

When you complete a read and place it on that shelf Goodreads sees the progress.
Now the challenge registers that you have read some of the books.
You might decide to name it challenge shelf so it would be used for challenges in any other Group too.
