Personality: Asta is ferociously protective and a fierce fighter, and she may seem cold to those who don't know her. In reality, her protectiveness is fueled by her softer, nurturing side. Deep down, she's kind and caring and loves those close to her greatly. Her fierce, fighting nature, though, can be attributed to the fact that she never gives up, especially in a fight. She's also quite intelligent and tends to think things through before she acts, unless she's more emotional.
Skills: Knives, swords, anything with a sharp blade, really. She's very good at finding food and identifying plants, too, and she's pretty resourceful. Also her strength, her intelligence, and her sedulousness.
Weaknesses: Her recklessness and impulsiveness when she's emotional, and the weapons she can't use too well. She's also not the best swimmer (she can keep herself afloat, but she's very slow and clumsy when she's swimming.)
History: Asta was born to two poor parents in District 11. She worked in the fields and orchards by age six. However, when Asta was twelve, her father was killed by Peacekeepers, and her mother spiraled into deep depression. Asta's mother was unable to do anything, completely stricken by grief, and Asta was forced to begin stealing to keep her and her mother alive. She was almost caught a couple times but she was always able to get away with it because she was very sneaky. Unfortunately, when Asta was fifteen, her mother finally gave up and hung herself. Asta was now on her own. Despite the tragedies that had happened to her, she started taking some of the kids in District 11 under her wing and took care of them if their parents couldn't, essentially assuming a mom/big sister role to all of them. She continued this until she was reaped for the Games and had to leave all the children behind, much to everyone's dismay, including her own. It tore her apart, realizing that the ones who loved her were now all gone. The only way she'd be able to get back to them was by winning the Games. So now, she's determined to win.

She says things about herself and then proves against it. She is disrespectful and disobeideint. She has some redeeming quailities though. Once you prove that you agree with her then she's loyal to you for the rest of her life and will go out of way to save you. Personality: Karson has a lot of charisma and is very intelligent thinking about every move, and the move coming after it. He will not hesitate to kill anything that gets in the way of his plans. He is willing to ally but will eventually find a way to get someone else to kill them. If he is caught in a situation, he knows is going to be hard to get out of, he’ll stall while he thinks. He’s brutal and will sometimes stick around after someone is wounded to torture them. He’s very antisocial, so he tries to avoid other people as much as possible. When he does talk to people, he tends to be very manipulative and will almost always use them as some sort of bait.

History: Karson grew up in a family that made pretty good money. He hasn’t had to work a day in his life, he gets it all from his parents and has ever since he was born. Over the years of hunting with his father he saw plants and always wanted to know what they were, so he got a few books and found out each time he went hunting again. He developed a skill for spotting different herbs. He realized that this would help in the games so he continued to learn about them until he could name any useful herb.

Personality: Andreija is fiery. She holds herself like a world leader –which she is, at this point—and takes no bullshit from anyone. She doesn’t like listening to people state their opinion, she knows that her own opinion will be the one obeyed to in the end, so she doesn’t care for what others think. If someone dares say that what she’s doing is wrong, she will have them killed. It’s her way of surviving, she knows that if she lets her control slip, someone will be able to overthrow her and uncover her secrets and kill her. Because of this, she’s also very paranoid. She always looks deeply into people’s pasts to see if there is anything suspicious, she upholds strong security protocols, and if she sees someone whispering about her, her first thought is: they’re conspiring against me. And unless those gossipers can think fast and explain themselves, they’ll probably find themselves burnt at the stake. Though she has pretty fast reflexes, she prefers thinking things through before acting. She knows that tactics will get her further than spasms of adrenaline rushes. She has a strange love-hate relationship with fire from all the people she burnt to death (either literally or second-handedly). She loves the way fire can purify the world from the rebel scums, but she knows all too well that she is one too, and she is scared that she will one day find herself at the stake too. She has accepted that that may very well be her fate, so she respects the fire as an ally, an old friend that she knows will ultimately betray her. The smell of burning flesh is equally triggering and pleasing to her. She doesn’t have any sadism but she certainly doesn’t mind fighting, it helps her release all her pain and energy without screaming her head off. The only time where she might actually take her jolly good time with a kill is with a known rebel. She has a fair amount of guilt for the rebels she ended up killing, since she knows she is technically one herself, but the thing that haunts her the most – and that she pushes away the most – is the first casualty of this rebel witch hunt. Her ex-best friend/lover. She is weary of ever falling into one of those ambiguous friend-lover relationships, or even actually trusting someone for that matter, because she knows that if she finds someone again, they’ll be her mental or physical downfall. She knows that she should quickly kill off anyone she develops feelings for before it gets too strong. Thus, she keeps a stony indifferent demeanor to people she meets.

History: Andreija was practically born for internal moral dichotomy. Her father is one of the highest leaders of the District 2 volunteering academy, and has very good relations with the Capitol. Her mother, on the other hand, turned rebel once she saw what monstrosities the Games and the Capitol truly did (which she learned, of course, by marrying Andreija’s father). It wasn’t signed, it was very vague and secretive, but she could immediately tell who it was from – her mother. For the first time braving her father’s orders, she kept the letter a secret and read it by herself. The letter didn’t say much, only informing her that her mother had become the leader of a bubbling and growing rebellion in the outskirts of District 2. And also trying to convince little ten-year-old Andreija to run away from home and to come join them, before her father could ultimately break her mentally under all his toxic expectations. –and his inner sadism, of course, but her mother had left that out of there letter—But Andreija simply couldn’t, She couldn’t leave her father, her training, her ‘dreams’ of winning the Games. Especially not for some distant promise of some ‘better world’ at the side of a mother she barely even knew. So she burnt the letter and tried to forget all about it. A four years pass, and it’s time for another scoring at the Academy, to see who is the best trainee so far. Fourteen-year-old Andreija waits, a bit bored, to be the best, once again. But to her surprise, she finishes only second. Second only to some girl named Irene, who she had never heard of before. Shoving down her anger and embarrassment, she returns home and admits the bad news to her father. And her father explodes. Screams that the 4th rankings (these rankings) are the most important, because rarely does the first place change after that year. Andreija explodes back, frustrated and angry and breaking down against all the pressure. And the violent tendencies taught into her spasm and she throws a punch at her father. And her father, who has an even worse temper, reaches reflexively to his knife and scars her on the cheek, spraying crimson on their oh-so-expensive rug. Andreija flees out of the house and runs desperately to the place her mother had said she could meet her. But once she arrived, she realized there was indeed someone there – but not her mother.

But Irene promised to be there if Andreija ever needed more help. So they spent a strange night, barely sleeping, with awkward silence, trying to patch up Andreija’s wound. After that, Andreija returned home. She didn’t speak of the ‘incident’, and neither did her father, but she could feel the pressure to win first place growing tenfold. When she returned to the Academy, she found Irene again, and they started to get to know each together. This started a strange friendship –which Andreija kept secret from her father. Until one day, Irene finally revealed what she was doing. She was part of the rebellion too, and had been sent to the Academy as a part of the rebellion. The scorings were rigged to get Irene to first place so that she could then be the chosen volunteer, and not volunteer at the reapings to send some poor reaped kid into the Games to create chaos all over District 2. Andreija wanted to say something to the authorities, to tell someone the truth about Irene but … Irene trusted her. And she trusted Irene. And truth be told, feelings were starting to blossom between them. Ad collaborating with Irene … what better way to challenge her father, who had dared scar her. So she kept it a secret and occasionally provided resources to Irene and her rebel friends. They then formed an ambiguous relationship. They were practically dating, but nothing was official. Were they just friends or was there more? Though they weren’t sure exactly what they were to each other anymore, their relationship was as strong as ever. The rebels even let Andreija be first in the rankings (since it was only the last rankings that determined the volunteer, they could afford to let Andreija be first) to ease her father’s rage. But still, there was always the nagging thought at the back of Andreija’s mind: In the end, Irene will be the one rigged into Volunteering. But she tried shoving that thought away : You know, things could change. And even if I don’t get to volunteer … perhaps I could join the rebellion? But that last part she shoved even deeper -- the only reason she was collaborating with them was for the rigging and for Irene, nothing more. The Games were still a respected tradition. One day, Irene and her are hanging out together a bit late at night at her house, because Andreija’s father was out working late. Andreija feels the romantic tension and finally confesses her feelings for Irene. But Irene shook her head, saying she didn’t feel like that with Andreija, that the ambiguousness wasn’t exactly what she was feeling, that it was all too complicated … and that’s when Andreija’s father came back home. A chaotic verbal fight ensued, where Irene ran out of the house after a half-minute. Leaving Andreija alone with her father. And finally Andreija broke. She started yelling viciously at her father, asking him why he had to keep controlling her life, why he had to keep controlling who she fell in love with, who she became friends with, and she finally, finally mentions the scar. Screaming her head off at how he could dare, even think, about mutilating her face. And like always with these two, the fight gets physical, but nothing too bad physically came out of it. But Andreija stormed out of the house once again, desperately needing to hurt something , even debating cutting open her own skin. She made her way furiously to Irene and Andreija’s first meeting place, but once she found the building empty, she remembered that Irene had left her, had left her alone with her father, and had left her alone with her feelings. She desperately wanted to grab a knife and to stab through something, like during training, but luckily had no weapon near her. She finally fell asleep there and returned home only after making sure her father had left for work. A day passed and then she realized that the rankings were coming soon.

And Andreija had a rush of adrenaline and ran straight to the Academy, desperately wanting to do something about Irene’s existence. But when she arrived, she was met by a startling surprise: students were being kicked out of the Academy for suspicion of ‘conspiring with the rebellion’. The witch hunt for ‘rebel conspirers’ spread like wildfire and soon enemies were turning on enemies to accuse them of ‘conspiring’. And Andreija caught Irene’s eye while walking through the hallway.
And she had an idea.

She made her way to the director’s office and immediately laid a bit of proof on Irene conspiring with the rebellion. An investigation was launched on Irene but to Andreija’s horror, they discovered much much more than the occasional ‘small score rigging.’ Yes, they discovered Irene’s entire central implication with the rebellion. And it wasn’t long before orders of the Capitol arrived for a death sentence.

If someone dares say that what she’s doing is wrong, she will have them killed. It’s her way of surviving, she knows that if she lets her control slip, someone will be able to overthrow her and uncover her secrets and kill her. Because of this, she’s also very paranoid. She always looks deeply into people’s pasts to see if there is anything suspicious, she upholds strong security protocols, and if she sees someone whispering about her, her first thought is: they’re conspiring against me. And unless those gossipers can think fast and explain themselves, they’ll probably find themselves burnt at the stake. Though she has pretty fast reflexes, she prefers thinking things through before acting. She knows that tactics will get her further than spasms of adrenaline rushes. She has a strange love-hate relationship with fire from all the people she burnt to death (either literally or second-handedly). She loves the way fire can purify the world from the rebel scums, but she knows all too well that she is one too, and she is scared that she will one day find herself at the stake too. She has accepted that that may very well be her fate, so she respects the fire as an ally, an old friend that she knows will ultimately betray her. The smell of burning flesh is equally triggering and pleasing to her. She doesn’t have any sadism but she certainly doesn’t mind fighting, it helps her release all her pain and energy without screaming her head off. The only time where she might actually take her jolly good time with a kill is with a known rebel. She has a fair amount of guilt for the rebels she ended up killing, since she knows she is technically one herself, but the thing that haunts her the most – and that she pushes away the most – is the first casualty of this rebel witch hunt. Her ex-best friend/lover. She is weary of ever falling into one of those ambiguous friend-lover relationships, or even actually trusting someone for that matter, because she knows that if she finds someone again, they’ll be her mental or physical downfall. She knows that she should quickly kill off anyone she develops feelings for before it gets too strong. Thus, she keeps a stony indifferent demeanor to people she meets.

ℍ𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪: For the first twelve years of his life, Kitt wasn’t too bad off.
Kitt grew up right in the centre of District 4. His house, two stories and made of red brick with sturdy black shingles, was home to him, his parents, and his three sisters, two younger and one older.
Kitt’s father, Davis, was a fisherman who spent long days out on the water catching fish for all of Panem. His mother, Lylith, was a doctor and spent every day at home caring for the children or helping out patients in the spare-bedroom-turned-clinic. His younger sister, Jemma, was two years, six months, and thirteen days younger than him. She helped Lylith take care of the patients, as well as gathering and buying the necessary items for the clinic. His youngest sister, Talina, was five years, three months, and seven days younger than him, and sometimes helped Lylith and Jemma, but also enjoyed spending time alone, reading. His older sister, Rubia, was three years, eight months, and five days older than him. She spent every day cleaning and gutting fish to help the family make money.
And that’s how it happened. One day, when Kitt was thirteen, Rubia’s knife slipped and cut her finger open. It wasn’t too bad of a cut, so she figured she’d just suck it up and keep working. That was a very big mistake. Not even a week later, Rubia was bedridden, struck by terrible sepsis. With a fever burning 105º, a cough that had her hacking up blood, and hallucinations terrifying her several times a day, Davis and Lylith knew they had to do something. The remedies Lylith had weren’t working, not suited for this degree of illness. The available treatment was well beyond anyone’s price range but citizens of the Capitol. However, Davis and Lylith couldn’t just sit around and watch Rubia die. Which is why Davis sneaked out one night and tried to steal some medicine.
Keyword: tried.
The next morning, the Arledges woke up to a commotion in the square outside their home. Well, the Arledges minus Davis. They soon found him, however. His bloodied and broken body lay in the middle of the town square, surrounded by Peacekeepers trying to keep citizens of District 4 away. They’d lost Davis to the extreme violence of the Peacekeepers.
Soon afterward, they lost Rubia, too.
Lylith, stricken with grief, didn’t leave her bedroom for many, many weeks, leaving Kitt, Jemma, and Talina to handle things themselves. They often heard their mother’s sobs echoing throughout the house.
One day, it was unusually quiet. Unsettlingly quiet. That is, until little Talina went upstairs to check on their mother. Then a scream rang out, probably heard by all of Panem. The children found their mother hanging by her neck in her closet, limp and cold like the dust-covered coats surrounding her body.
The third death in just a couple months left the three remaining Arledges broken and distressed, none more so than Kitt. He’d been incredibly close with his family, but especially Rubia and Lylith. Their deaths made him unstable and severely damaged his state of mind. He also no longer had any respect for the Capitol or the Peacekeepers.
Kitt began to take out his overwhelming emotions by training for the Hunger Games, putting in more effort than ever before. He became exceedingly good with knives as well as tridents. He also learned how to make nets, but weapons were much better for handling anger, which now flooded his mind. He spent several hours every day practicing with knives, tridents, and swords, and eventually through violence his anger wore away and he developed a sort of sadistic and slightly maniacal attitude, also fueled by wanting revenge on the Capitol and wishing to see it and all its people burn.
Despite his hatred for the Capitol, he began focusing on training specifically for the Hunger Games, wanting to compete in them and do as much destruction as possible in the process. He started learning how to make poisons and identify plants using the books in his late mother’s clinic. He also practiced the poisons using leftover ingredients of his mother’s and different plants he found around District 4. He didn’t have much to live for, anyway, so if he was gonna go down, he wanted to go down fighting.
And thus, for the last five years, Kitt had spent several hours a day training every single day, determined to be a fierce and worthy competitor when he finally entered the Games.
Determined,
Not necessarily to be a victor,
but to be the one who started fires
and watched them burn.

She is sadistic and will pretend to be kind to you to get what she needs before stabbing you in the back. She’s strong, malicious, and enjoys torturing and killing people. She’s also not impulsive and takes her time to think out decisions. Ebony has schizotypal personality disorder, histrionic personality disorder, and schizophrenia
Skills: She’s good with pretty much any weapon and is very strong.
Weaknesses: She’s not the best at traps and is not used to having to hunt for food. However, killing an animal isn’t that different from killing a human so she’s better at that than say, foraging. She’s rubbish at plants.
Other: She’s willing to make an alliance with people but in the end she wants to win and will not shy away from killing her former allies.
