Sandra | 1 comments I was forwarded an email about this book by a staff member who was purchasing it for her Yr7 daughter and thought it might also be a good one for our school library. I read it over a couple of hours yesterday (at home unwell) and I'm pleased to say my concerns on the possible content have been allayed. The topic seems to have been well handled.

Jessie suffers bullying at school and online, however she finds support from friends and her younger sister to eventually alert her parents and school to the issue. The story also touches on Maori spiritual beliefs.

I think this book would be good for mature Yr7 readers and above.
I'd be interested to know what others think, Sandra

Jane (janeboniface) | 123 comments This is the first I've heard of this book Sandra, so I'm not much help I'm afraid! It certainly deals with a very relevant issue and sounds like it is on point for the Intermediate age group.
I did find a review on KidsBooksNZ https://kidsbooksnz.blogspot.com/2020...
I'd be interested to know if anyone has read it and what they think also.
