ᴄᴀᴍᴘ ᴇʟᴅᴇʀʙᴇʀʀʏ ꜰᴏʀ ᴇᴛʜᴇʀᴇᴀʟ ~ ꜱᴇᴍɪ-ᴅᴇᴛᴀɪʟᴇᴅ discussion

Large, spacious, and airy, the Horse Stables house 12 horses that campers and counselors can take out to ride. Campers lay down hay, change water, and brush the horses throughout the day. Riding lessons are available each day. There is a ring to ride and jump, or you can go on the trail snaking around the camp. Never take a horse into the Enchanted Forest, this is forbidden.

Phoebe came in running from behind. This time, she was still huffing for air, hands on her knees - but her eyes were serious and determined. Looking at Kai, who had gotten to the stables before her, she stood up strait. "Ok! Lets find out our task!"

Sam ran over to the stables after Phoebe and paused to catch his breath for a moment. His eyes caught on a black horse with a white splotch on its forehead and he went over to it. Maybe riding a horse won't be so bad.' he thought, letting the horse sniff his hand, then walking through the stables to look for the task

Team Bolt Challenge: You are going to be "decorating" three horses and forming your own parade! We have horse chalk, ribbons, combs, clips, and more for you to use. Draw on your horse's coat, brush their hair, and style them. You could choose a team theme and decorate the horses following that, or be creative and do your own thing. After you have your horse looking beautiful, saddle them up and lead them outside. There is a group of helpers near the gate to view your horses. Climb on your horse and parade them around the ring to show them off to the helpers. Remember, even though you will each be decorating and riding your own horse, work together as a team to get through this challenge. Have fun and get to work!

Phoebe mind started throwing a party. "YES! I can do this!" She laughed, feeling excited, relieved, and most of all - she felt ready. As if she had eaten a lightning bolt, she started literally 'bolting' around the decoration table - taking tons of chalk, combs, and ribbons.

Sam read over the task and grabbed a few combs and ribbons, then walked over to the black horse he had seen earlier. He opened the stable door and walked inside, then closed the door behind him and looked up at the horse. He gently stroked the horse's nose, then started to brush it's mane

Phoebe picked the first horse she saw, which was short and brown with its tail a bit matted. "Whats your favorite colour?" She asked the horse, holding up a yellow and green chalk. "Do you like one of these?" With all of her drawing experience, she was excited to start using her skills.

Kai smiled. They had grown up on a farm, this was something they could definitely Kai walked over to a beautiful chestnut-and-white pinto horse with a black mane. "Hey there," They said quietly, stroking its forehead. "Hm..." They picked up a comb and started brushing out the horse's mane gently.

Kai picked up a piece of yellow chalk and started drawing flowy designs on the horse's coat. However, they only drew on the white spaces, always ending the lines wherever the patch of white ended. They worked quickly and quietly, an entirely different person around animals.

Phoebe watched the horse. It snorted, which made her chuckle a bit. Finally, the horse moved its head, and she took it as thought it was pointing towards green. "Perfect! Alright, lets get started." The horse was completely brown and short, so she started at its neck and added carefully placed swirls, slowly reaching the back and front belly. Next, she started to connect two swirls into two curved lines, both on opposite sides of the horse connecting to the inner belly. It was all very detailed, and that wasn't half of what she did. "Done! Time for the next colour, here - Pink or White?" She held them up to a horse.

Kai picked up a white piece of chalk and started drawing designs on the brown patches, connecting them perfectly with the yellow patterns. They finished and stepped back to look at their work, before picking up the comb again and brushing the horse's mane. They then started putting it in small braids in a row, attaching flowers here and there. "There we go. What do you think?" They asked the horse.

"It looks beautiful!" Phoebe said, looking at it happily. Her own horse was turning into a literal art canvas, but somehow that looked good? Phoebe turned her head, "Do you have any idea where Sam is? He should be doing his horse - right?"

Sam looked up from brushing the black horse's mane. "I'm over here." he called, opening the stable door and leading the black horse out, which had a few chalk drawings on it's fur and ribbons in it's mane.

Kai grinned at Phoebe. "Yours is amazing," They said. They had only just met Phoebe, but somehow felt very... at home, around her? It was weird. They shrugged the feeling off and ignored it, leading their horse out of the stable to the field.

The helpers were standing over near the gate. They began smiling and cheering as the horses came out. One helper was holding a clipboard with the clue that would lead the team to the end location where the prize was located, that is if they finished first. She also had a walkie talkie so that she could hear if another team beat them to it.

Phoebe notice Kai make a weird shrug as they took their horse out the stable. Unconcerned, she went back to her horse and finished decorating him with the chalk. She then started to messily braid one part of the horses matted mane and tie it with the ribbon, leaving the rest of the hair down. "I need dirt, I'll be right back." She cheerily told the horse (who obviously didn't understand her).

Sam got onto his horse and stroked its mane. 'I have no idea how to ride a horse.' he thought, looking around at his teammates. He saw Aria was grabbing the reins, so he did the same, then sat in his saddle and waited for his other teammates to be ready

Kai watched Phoebe run off to get something. Dirt, it sounded like. Hm. They held the reins gently and glanced at the others. "I'm ready, but we need to wait for Phoebe." They said. Their horse snuffled in what sounded like agreement.

Phoebe came back with clumps of dirt, grass, and wild flowers. She started gently taking some dirt and combing it into places in the mane and fur around the body. Carefully placing a few wildflowers in the tail and grass in the mane, she made it look very wild - somewhat reminding of a faeries. Not seeming to care about the dirt, she climbed onto the horse and grabbed onto the reins.

Kai swung their legs over the saddle, holding onto the reins. "Wow. Good job," They said, riding up next to Phoebe. Their horse snuffled again, like it was laughing at them.

The helpers cheered as the campers circled their horses around. "These look fabulous! Everyone bring your horses over here so we can have a closer look," the lead helper said to the team. The other helpers were chatting about how incredible the horses looked.

Sam rode his horse over to the helpers. Don't fall off. Don't fall off. Don't fall off.' he thought, pulling the reins gently so his horse stopped in front of the helpers. He stroked his horse's mane and smiled

Kai rode their horse up to the helpers. It was covered in flowing, flowery designs and shapes, with a row of braids in its mane. They grinned, looking over at Sam. "Calm down, you're more likely to fall off if you panic," They called to him.

The helper smiled. "Very nice," she said, reaching into her pocket for their final ribbon. She handed it to them, then pulled a small slip of paper off of her clipboard. She looked it over quickly, radioed something in to all of the other helpers across camp, and handed them to paper with the clue that would lead them to the location of the prize.

Team Bolt Final Location Clue: "Nevermore"

Kai took the paper and read it a few times, very obviously confused. "Um. What?" They passed the paper to another team member. "Maybe something about birds? Because, y'know, Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore'?"

Sam smiled and slid off his horse, stroking its nose. He titled his head at the clue. "Well, that's helpful." he muttered with an eye roll. He looked over at Kai and Phoebe. "Does this make any sense to you?" he asked

Zodiac walked in looking around with a sigh.

She walked up to a black and white pinto horse and smiled. 'I never realized how tall horses can be. . .' She turned away slightly. "I'll come back I promise.." Her voice was soft and reassuring and she walked away silently.

Valor walked around outside. He had come here hoping that no one would be there. Then again he didn't really care.

Zodiac turns around at the sound of footsteps. She sighed when she looked back to Valor. "You gave me a heart attack!"

Valor looked at her. "Sorry." He said. "Mind if I come in?" He asked. He looked kinda cold, he didn't care tho.

"Yes-" She pulled him in the stables without thinking it completely through. Zodiac gave him a small smile as in her head she was getting so mad at herself. 'YOU IDIOT!!'

Valor looked at her. "Um........." He looked at the horse. "Uh......." He was a bit shocked.

"You okay?" Zodiac snapped herself out of her thoughts and looked at him. She waved her hand in front of his face. "Hellooo? Earth to whatever-your-name-is!!"

Valor looked at her. "Yeah, and my name is Valor." He wiped some snow off his clothes and sat down on the floor.

Zodiac smiled softly and sat down in front of him. "I'm Zodiac." She watched the snow fall off of his clothes.

Valor nodded. "Nice to meet you." He said. He was pretty much covered in snow. He didn't mind that kind of stuff, he just wan't to be healthy. Then again only eating a couple times a week wasn't that healthy.
