I may re-read it as well before watching the Netflix movie.
OK- forewarning folks- the Netflix adaptation is actually a show!I'm 3 episodes in to a 8-episode series, lol.
Posted in the Screen-Adaptation Reporting thread.I binged the 8-episode Netflix series, Dash and Lily (based off of Dash & Lily's Book of Dares), and OMG it was so cute.
The show took the time to follow the book pretty closely, but also add the nuance and depiction of "chance meetings" that would take words much longer to do. I super enjoyed it- loved the Asian Lily, and her mixed race family. Dash was a little cringe-inducing sometimes, but ultimately endearing and lovable. A wonderful adaptation.

Lily writes and leaves a clue in a red moleskin notebook at the Strand by one of her favorite books. Who will pick it up, and will they follow the adventure? Dash ends up finding it, enjoys the challenge and the two have a back and forth. This is so fun since it's almost like an "olden time"- they're not texting, they have to make plans ahead of time of where to leave the notebook for each other. After a while of banter- they have to decide- will they meet in person? Will the other person be who they think or want them to be?
This was made into a movie on Netflix that came out this week, I plan on watching this weekend.
