Shane, one of the residents in Hardwick House, figures out that Alex manipulated him to attack Malcolm. He goes to see her and has the tables turned on him by her. Did you have any hope he’d be victorious in exposing her or expected something like what happened would occur?

I thought she had underestimated him and made a major mistake that was going to end in her being assaulted or even killed. The way she turned it around showed how vicious and cruel she was. She didn't even show much fear she is so secure in her intellect to be able to manipulate those who she thinks are not her equal.

I agree Lisa. I was sure that Shane was going to best Alex. I hoped that he would go to Kim or Bryant, but Alex was too good at turning the situation around.

*sigh* I thought he had her, too. My heart broke for Shane. I think this is when I began to hate her.

Oh, he had no hope. It's just another way we are shown how good Alex is at what she does.
