Also just to say for the extra points it might seem overwhelming, but just read the book and we'll sort out the rest :)

If you look at the extra points section by Lucy, I think that explains everything. But all YA books count!!

Wow loads of people have signed up already...
Also to all those people feeling a little nervous don't be! It's super fun and something to lighten your day, not to pressurise you or anything :)

All partcipants will be split randomly into teams and the aim is to read as many books as you can in the first two weeks of December to earn points for you team.
Points will primarily be award depeding on page count, but extra points can be earned if the book was a buddy read, the book fits one of the prompts, and/or you include a review. If the book fits more than one promp you will, of course, earn more extra points.
Sign ups will close on November 29th and the teams will most likely be announced the next day.
PLEASE NOTE!
You may read any books for this challenge, but the books must be at least 50 pages
Only books that are read in the first two weeks of December can be used in this readathon. If you started a book before December, but you finished it in December, it can still be counted.
When you get sorted into teams, you will have a thread for you team chat and a thread where your team will put all the books they have read. (E.g. Just comment book name, pages, and any prompts filled. But there will be a more detailed example comment when the time comes! This will make it easier for me to count the points)
If you have any questions about the readathon, you can just reach out to me and I'll do my best to clarify any confusion you may have.
How points will be awarded
Points depending on page count – 1 point per 50 pages
- 50-99 pages = 1 point
- 100-149 pages = 2 points
- 150-199 pages = 3 points
- 200-249 pages = 4 points
- 250 - 299 pages = 5 points
- 300 - 349 pages = 6 points
- 350 - 399 pages = 7 points
- 400 - 449 pages = 8 points
- 450 - 499 pages = 9 points
- 500 - 549 pages = 10 points
- 550 - 599 pages = 11 points
- 600+ pages = 12 points or more
(If the book has more that 600 pages, I'll simply add extra points for each 50 pages. For example, if a book had 900 pages, you get 18 points for it!)
Extra points:
➼Is it a Buddy Read? If yes you get 3 extra points
➼Does it fit any of the prompts below? If yes you get 5 extra points per prompt
For this readathon, the promps will be:
• Read a book with the enemies to lovers trope.
• Read a book that takes place during December.
• Read a book with a blue cover.
• Read a book set in the UK.
• Read a book featering wizards/witches.
➼Do you have a review? (Depending on how long the review is you get a few extra points.)
• Short review? +2 points
• Medium length review? + 4 points
• Long review? + 6 points
I think that's everything, if you would like to participate just comment your name below! And if you have any questions don't hesitate to aks me!
By the way, if you decided to participate please be sure that you have the time, since if you sign up and don't end up participating, your team is at a disadvantage.
