Hi friends ,
Only a month and a week to go for the new year to approach . Have you formulated your reading goal ? Or is it mostly impulsively selected books ?

In my case

I am participating in the snake and ladders year long challenge here in IR

Will be continuing with armchair travel ,( read books from diff countries ) and Indian reads ..

Also contemplating upon a book a month challenge ..
I.e. select a challenging book from my shelves and see whether I can complete it .

Waiting to hear from you all ...( And steal ideas )

Makrand | 1353 comments Yes, Snakes and Ladder challenge is something that interests me a lot since I'd love to surprise myself with book that I generally wouldn't pick.

secondly, looking forward to reading book series that I haven't finished or popular series that I never managed to start.

1. Snakes and Ladders
2. impulsive BRs by keeping a tap on friend's "started reading", and jumping in.
3. As always, focus on Indian regional lit.

Gorab, I am always tempted to read Indian books when I see your reading progress updates of Regional literature. I'd really love some recommendations for a start!

Sure I'd love to Mak :)
Which Indian vernacular languages are you comfortable with. Do you prefer to read in local languages that you know, or prefer English translations?

I am really looking forward to Snake & Ladder challenge.

other than that my usual challenges like 5 debuts, 5 awards, trying to bring down my tbr numbers. I was looking for few things on my GR bookshelf and noticed that I have 500+ read books from the 10-19 decade. So I am planning to read more books from 00-09. Hope I will stick to the plan.

Thanks :D
I am open to Hindi and Marathi literature books.
I'd go for an English translation only if you think it'd be too challenging to read

This for me. I'm already happy if I can find some free time to read. This year I even didn't manage to finish my IR challenge (Indian authors/books), which I usually complete :-(
