Unfortunately, this one is a miss. Enjoy the author but not this book. Poor plot; weak characters; and slow, predictable timeline.

I got the arc months ago but haven’t yet read it. Think I’ll have to give this a miss!

Just checking. Was this the Claire Mackintosh version, or the Ashley Audrain version that was just published this month (Jan 2021)?

Yes, Claire McGowan. In general, I’m a fan of her books, both the Paula McGuire series (6 books) and the lighter works under her Eva Woods pseudonym. Just not this one.
