Camilla | 2118 comments Question about task 3. Read a book with fruit on the cover. Does it have to be a "living" fruit or does an artificial fruit work as well? I'm thinking of Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) by Marissa Meyer

That will work. :)

Camilla | 2118 comments Thank you, Janice. I realized the book works also for museum 8, task 2 (Read a fantasy novel featuring a queen). Now I'm torn between those tasks...

Cherie (crobins0) | 21509 comments Living fruit vs artificial fruit??? Looks like an apple to me...
I'm reading this one, At the Edge of the Orchard by Tracy Chevalier . I bought it for some other "fruit" challenge.

LOL Cherie, it's just that to me it looks like it's made of glass and not a "real" apple, that's why I asked.

Your book was my first option, our library has it, but I need Winter also for another challenge. I'm still undecided between apple and fantasy queen, though.

Beth (eparks4232) | 2611 comments Gorgeous Book that ticks lots of boxes: The Murmur of Bees. I used it for About for card 38, set on farm ranch or plantation. But it has fruit on the cover (Museum 5, Collection), is set in Mexico and by a Mexican author (Museum 16, Location) is also originally in Spanish, translated to English (Museum 33, Location). It also has fruit and bees and sun on cover, so might work for some interactive tasks you invent. It is cool magical realism book.

Thanks for the recommendation. It was on my TBR list and for some reason, I took it off. Back on now!

Margo | 11749 comments Hi Janice, will you allow this book for: Collection: Read a book with fruit on the cover.

The Sin Eater by Megan Campisi

There's artichoke, pomegranate and various berries but I'm not sure if they're prominant enough 🤔

That was the book I was going to choose for this task (but with a different cover) but I ended up reading a book about mindful eating that had a bunch of fruit on the cover

Fruit on the cover is a tricky one for me but I ended up enjoying this story. I could do with mindful eating tips at the moment though!
