I have a series of 7 books that I need to finish. Perfect for 2 - About. When I went to Amazon to see if the books were Kindle Unlimited, I found 3 more books in the series. Those 3 extra books are not attached to the series here on Goodreads. (Society for Paranormals series)
According to Goodreads, it's a series of 7, but in reality there are 10 books. Do we go by what Goodreads says?
Nevermind. I don't know what happened. All 10 books are there now :(
Looking on the bright side, book 9 has "throne" in the title :)

2. About - Task: Read a book that is in a series of seven published works.
Would a book from a series of 7 Primary Works do for this task or the book should be from a list of 7 published works in total?
I completed
which forms a part of 7 Primary works as per GR link:https://www.goodreads.com/series/1467...
Could I use this book for the task referred to?
Thanks.

We are using the Goodreads series pages for series. I don't know what list of published works you are referring to. As long as the Goodreads series page shows that the series has 7 primary works and all of them have been published, it fits the task.

I only wanted to know if the book could be from a series of 7 primary works. Sometimes, the in-between books in the series, e.g. 1.1., 1.2 etc. are mentioned and they are added and the count is shown as total works and the main books in the series are referred to as Primary works. Since, the task mentioned 'in a series of 7 published works', I wanted to be sure.
Thanks.
I think you might be over thinking this Viji. Too Quiet In Brooklyn is the 1st book in a series with 7 primary works. There are no novellas or in-between books in this series. This series says, "7 primary works" and "8 total works". That's because there is a boxed set containing the first three books included in the list. Ignore the "total works" because the tasks for series always state "primary works".

I may read The Silver Chair for the 'Series of Seven' task. I read the Chronicles of Narnia multiple times when I was growing up, but can't remember much about this one. Maybe not a good sign, but I'm curious..

My original 'series of seven' choice was to re-read a Dark Tower book, but it seems we now have 8 primary works in the series (hmmph). I think we're counting The Wind Through the Keyhole as a primary work, which is #4.5 in the canon. In terms of the challenge, I am not impressed! Although I did enjoy the book ; )https://www.goodreads.com/series/4075...

Janice wrote: "That's strange that they would include book 4.5 as a primary work."I KNOW!!! (not fair)
It looks like it was a later book that fit in the middle of the series, and because the rest of the series was already numbered, it got a 4.5. I thought I could fix it for you but it really is a primary work in the series. :(

Thanks for looking into this for me Dawn.
I’d be upset, but I was so happy when that book came out, so I’m not going to complain too much Lol
