Amanda | 1901 comments For task #2 - theme of Vikings. Will When We Were Vikings work? The main character is a Viking enthusiast. Is that enough Vikings to count as a theme?

I think it will.

Camilla | 2141 comments Regarding task 3. read a book with a lion on the cover or the word "Lion" in the title. Is the lion prominent enough on this cover?
Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews

Yes, I'll accept it.

Camilla | 2141 comments Thank you, Janice. I really enjoy this series, so this is a good excuse to continue with it.

I have been wanting to start this series, but I have so many to wrap up. It looks like the first book in the series has the lion in the top right corner too. Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews .

I may have to push In the Skin of a Lion over to another task, although I have wanted to read it for some time now.

I definitely recommend the series, although the first book isn't the best, IMHO. One of my favorite fantasy series.

Gunit Kaur Kalada | 407 comments Looking for a ruling..

Since the Vasa Museum is single object museum which displays in the Swedish warship called Vasa, I choose to read a book set on a ship for my interactive task i.e. The Woman in Cabin 10.

Hey Janice
I'm guessing no, but thought it was worth checking, would Lioness in the title be acceptable?

message 13: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 62750 comments You guessed right, Lynn. The word needs to be lion or lions.

Annerlee | 2889 comments On the theme of Vikings, I've just come across this one:

The Last Kingdom (The Saxon Stories, #1) by Bernard Cornwell
It has a Viking galley on the cover and refers to Vikings (norsemen) in the blurb, so I'm thinking it's an option.
I've just decided to read the second in the series for anther task, so I think I could read this first one for this section. I would just need to find a copy.

I've read it and can confirm that it contains vikings, LOL! Quite a good series, I've only read the first three, should continue.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19433 comments I started The Half-Drowned King for Vikings last night. Can confirm, there are a lot of Vikings.

Thanks for thie confirmation Camilla. I've ordered the book from the library. There are quite a few in the series. I like the concept, I just hope I like the writing style

Annerlee | 2889 comments For Lion on the cover I've just started Dictator

Dictator (Cicero, #3) by Robert Harris
Thought I'd better check this is 'lion enough' as I won't be able to shunt books about so easily this late in the challenge...
Is this one ok Janice?

Janice (jamasc) | 62750 comments Gunit Kaur wrote: "Will The Lioness of Morocco work for the lion task?"

No, sorry. It must be "lion" or its plural "lions".
