Museum 32. Pergamon Museum in Berlin


1. Location - Berlin, Germany
Task: Read a book set in Germany, or written by a German author.

2. About - Since the end of September 2014 the museum is partially closed for renovation. In November 2016 it was revealed that the renovation would not be finished before 2023.

If you are looking for a good book for a "story that set in the future", the Dire Earth Cycle trilogy is a very good read, IMO.
There are three books in the trilogy. It is set in 2382, in Darwin, Australia. It is science fiction. All three books are narrated by Simon Vance. The first book is The Darwin Elevator. I just finished re-listening to the third book this morning.

For which task? About - set in the future? While it was set in the future when it was written, it's now 36 years in the past. It's way past it's shelf life. Sorry.

More books set in the future. I found them while I was searching for books with a number in the title.

Unless it's stated somewhere that it's set in a future fantasy world, I would say no. There's nothing in the blurb to give that impression. Fantasy often seems to be set in the past. Science Fiction, on the other hand, is more apt to be set in the future.

From someone who just read 'Prince of Fools', I can confirm that it is set in the future. It is a future earth where we regressed to a medieval style world but gained magic somehow. The author has set a lot of his books in this world.
