Wait... isn't Gryffindor spelled Gryffindor??
The Weasley twins were known very well at Hogwarts. Everyone knew that. Quite frankly, it was because they were terrifying. Mini balls of Chaos. No one wanted to be on the wrong side of them.
Mostly because you ended up with peanut butter in you bed and a dung bomb in your dorm.
So, really, it was understandable that when Fred and George walked in, everyone froze, looking, as one, to the twins. When they moved to the nearest couch, they all took it as a cue to start talking amongst themselves again.
Fred took a piece of paper from his robe and set it between him and his twin, who immediately got out a pencil and started copying something down, as they murmured ( i think thats how thats spelled?) To each other. They were also uncharacteristically quiet, and you cant blame anyone for the ominous feeling that crept up their spines.

Fred and George, surprisingly, did not do a single thing the entire night.
They kept working on their paper, and, at 10 o'clock, earlier than anyone else had ever seen, they went up to bed. Normally, they were the last ones up.

Ron tried to not say anything but failed when he acidentally blurted out "Whats up with you guys?"
Fred's head snapped up immediately, and, after sharing a look with his twin, he smirked directly at Ron. "Nothing, Ronniekins. Why do you ask?"
"because you guys are studying."
this time, George answered. "What makes you think we were studying, Ronald?" then, they both simultaneously smirked at him, before going up to their dorms, leaving a shellshocked Ron behind.
Hermione suddenly stumbled into the common room, or, at least, we assume it was Hermione, since her face, (and everything else) was covered by and enormous amount of books. Somehow, the bookstack made its way over to the nearest table, (how can it even see?) and all of them were plopped gracelessly onto the table, and Hermione's face was finally revealed.
"Hey Harry! Hey Ron! Why do you look like you've seen a- well, you have seen a ghost, haven't you?"

Shaking herself from her musings Hermione asked "Well anyway, what happened to you two?"

Ron and harry both said at the same time "fred and george are planning an ultimate prank!"
Hermione looked flabbergasted. “What?! We have to stop them!”
Fred and George, in their dorms, heard, and immediately started laughing at the pain they had caused.
Harry nodded seriously
Hermione looked furious. “What are they laughing at??”
Fred's snickers could still be heard throughout the common room, and all who heard shivered in fear
Hermione said “well, I have 2 essays to do, so we’ll have to figure it out later.”
“Me. I’m trying to get ahead in our studies.” Said Hermione solemnly
“You should too if you want to do well in the exams” Hermione said loftily
Ron and Harry, simultaneously, winced.
“Now please stop bothering me. I have 10 pages to write on the incendio charm. I don’t suppose you know what that is.”
Ron then spoke up, "We're... we're good, Hermione, we're just going to do some of Trelawney's homework."
"yeah, she gave us a ton." Harry tried to make up an excuse,
"Yeah, maybe next time Hermione." Ron said, backing him up.
