The description is vital, and should be brief but mention all the important things, so please don't think you can miss it out if you do make a book trailer. I made one for my first novel, and had a lot of fun doing so, but I think the best ones are quite short, unless you have a lot of action. Teasers work quite well - very short bursts of information. You can also use your book blurb (which is the same as the description) to make a PowerPoint version to use as a promotional tool. Hope this helps, and good luck.

I thought I might make a video trailer. I understand Amazon will let you do a video trailer and Facebook will promote video ads - maybe that's a way to go. Just checking - in our genre, do you find video trailers useful, or do you prefer to simply read a description instead?
