Saw this idea of separating BOTM Discussions into intervals over at the reading group BOOKS GO BOOM and it's genius! Join their group as well!

Just finished chapter 20 and I'm glad we learned a lot more about this world! It was a little confusing, but I think I understand the different terms and roles for the most part. There were so much reveals in the past few chapters!

(view spoiler)[ I knew Nick was going to be important, but I wasn't expecting him to be a descendant of King Arthur! Also, the fact that a war is going to come and if people are awakened they end up having a shorter life span makes the character's situation even more serious!! Lastly, I was shocked to learn about Bree's mom having magic and that the group she was a part of isn't involved with the order. I'm curious to learn more about her mom's abilities. (hide spoiler)]

I'm really enjoying this so far!

Dang! You are a fast reader! That's good to know it clears some of it up. It feels like so much is thrown at you in the first section and there's still more to go. I really want to look at the spoiler but at the same time be shocked so the solution: read!

Lol I've been reading slower than usual. :D On the days I'm not reading this, I've started rewatching Merlin.

Definitely, the beginning felt overwhelming with all the info they shared! Can't wait to see your reaction to the reveals!

I'm literally sitting here eating Ritz Crackers and reading this book because I just have to keep seeing what happens next!

Currently on Chapter 18 so I'm so close to finally being able to discuss the spoiler tag.

One part of this book I liked was when she was coming back from the Lodge and her hair was messed up she talked about how she didn't feel like doing her hair because it would take long and I related so hard. Sometimes I don't want to do my hair because it could take from 3-4 hours to do it and if I go to the hair salon and get it done it could take 3-8 hours and I dread those days. I never regret it though

I would never have the patience to do that 😂 I rarely straighten my hair because it would take forever!

I feel like their friendship will be strained because of all the lying she has to do. I'm sure that if something serious were to happen to Bree, Alice would insist on knowing what's going on. And if she doesn't share, then it will definitely strain their friendship.

Yeah... I hope Alice finds out about the Legendborns somehow so she doesn't have to keep lying but I do like the drama. just hope they come out on top in the end!

(view spoiler)[ I also didn't see coming that Nick is a descendent of King Arthur but it wasn't a huge shock. I love Nick thoughhh! I love when he said that he doesn't want his world to need a king! Also with Bree's mother having magic. I definitely thought she had some considering Bree had the Sight at the beginning of the novel and saw the aether or magic surrounding her but I didn't see that she was part of another Order! Threw me for a loop! (hide spoiler)]

I used to strongly dislike him and think he was just a big bully... But I'm starting to like him now! He's an interesting character.

I didn't like him so much at first because of how rude he was but he's a big mystery to crack so I'm interested in getting to know more about him and why he is the way he is!
