"Under a Flaming Sky: The Great Hinckley Firestorm of 1894" by Daniel James Brown
Again suggested on FB and it sounds interesting

Just finished reading: "Ink and Ashes" written by Valynne E. Maetani (★★★★☆), which centers on Claire Takata, a teenager, discovering a dangerous secret about her dead father, which would change her life irrevocably in this debut contemporary thriller.
Maetani made a fantastic debut, which packs a highly suspenseful blend of action, intrigue, and teen romance. Interspersed between chapters are letters that the protagonist has written to her dead father, which creates an important back story. Furthermore, Maetani writes excellently about grief and loss – especially when she discovers the secret about her dead father.

Angela's Ashes"
This is the one I also chose.
