This one is a follow up from last year's (2020) categories for titles starting with A, B, and C. So let's chat titles starting with "D" -- what are you going to pick?

Furciferous Quaintrelle (bad_girl_bex) | 17 comments 'Dreamland: The True Tale Of America's Opiate Epidemic' by Sam Quinones. Just finished reading this today and it was absolutely brilliant. I've never read anything by this author before, but based on this book alone I'd definitely check out anything else he's written. It would work as a perfect companion piece to 'Dopesick' by Beth Macy as it takes the same underlying subject matter but goes off in a totally different, fascinating direction. 5/5 stars from me.

Ben Truong | 60 comments Completion Post:

Just finished reading: "Daisy Jones & The Six" written by Taylor Jenkins Reid (★★★★☆), it is a contemporary and historical fiction novel that follows the iconic 1970s rock band: Daisy Jones and The Six and the mysterious reasoning the musicians suddenly disbanded at the height of their careers.

Reid mimics the style of a tell-all celebrity memoir by a character whose identity remains secret until the very end. The narrative is propulsive, original, and often raw as there is excellent buildup around answering the big question at what happened during the final concert, which unfortunately didn’t stick the landing that well.

by Heather Graham

4stars

Salem MA and scary\mystery story - what could be better! The plot here is around legend of the Harvest Man. Nice twist, instead of the standard witch theme for this area.

The audiobook is a full cast production, so I definitely like that aspect. Plus, one of the characters is voiced by Benjamin Bratt, and I adore him.
