Which book are you going to pick for this category? Which exotic animal does it contain?

blessedbookmumma | 1 comments The Life of Pi, this has been on my TBR list for ages, so when i saw this prompt it was an easy choice, plus i love Tigers so really keen for this read.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

"Running with Sherman" by Christopher McDougall

I hope a donkey is exotic enough

message 10: by Karin (new)

Karin | 2 comments Does the animal have to be in the book, or could it just be in the title or on the cover? I have a couple in mind, but I am not sure if they stories are about them (well, one is nonfiction and more of a psychology book but Gorilla is in the title and there is one on the cover).

message 11: by Roberta (last edited Dec 27, 2020 12:20PM) (new)

Roberta Gorillas in the Mist is my choice for this prompt.

message 12: by Kiley (new)

Kiley Young (booksonthecouch) | 12 comments This was one of the categories I was dreading (I just don't like stories about animals because I have no soul) but I found a few options that were appealing:

Carrying Albert Home by Homer Hickam (featuring a bathtub alligator!)
Mitz: The Marmoset of Bloomsbury by Sigrid Nunez (About Virginia Woolf's PET MARMOSET!?)

Kris | 10 comments I read It's the End of the World As I Know It by Matthew Landis - https://www.goodreads.com/review/edit...

message 28: by Ben (new)

Ben Truong | 60 comments Completion Post:

Just finished reading: "Little & Lion" by Brandy Colbert (★★★★☆), it is a contemporary young adult, which centers on sixteen-year-old Suzette was sent to boarding school when her bookish older brother, Lionel, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but now she’s back in Los Angeles for the summer.

Colbert's narrative powerfully depicts the difficulties that mental illness presents not just for those diagnosed but for the people around them, and her characters reflect the diversity of Los Angeles.
