The Life of Pi, this has been on my TBR list for ages, so when i saw this prompt it was an easy choice, plus i love Tigers so really keen for this read.
That's the one I chose as well.
Water for ElephantsI have already read this one but might have to re-read if I can't find anything else to fill this prompt.
Does the animal have to be in the book, or could it just be in the title or on the cover? I have a couple in mind, but I am not sure if they stories are about them (well, one is nonfiction and more of a psychology book but Gorilla is in the title and there is one on the cover).
This was one of the categories I was dreading (I just don't like stories about animals because I have no soul) but I found a few options that were appealing:Carrying Albert Home by Homer Hickam (featuring a bathtub alligator!)
Mitz: The Marmoset of Bloomsbury by Sigrid Nunez (About Virginia Woolf's PET MARMOSET!?)
Raphael by Laurell K. Hamilton (releasing February 2021) - full of exotic animals - I’m counting shapeshifters for this one.

In Drums of Autumn (Outlander #4), they have a half wolf/half dog named Rollo. Using that for this prompt.
I read It's the End of the World As I Know It by Matthew Landis - https://www.goodreads.com/review/edit...
Completion Post:Just finished reading: "Little & Lion" by Brandy Colbert (★★★★☆), it is a contemporary young adult, which centers on sixteen-year-old Suzette was sent to boarding school when her bookish older brother, Lionel, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but now she’s back in Los Angeles for the summer.
Colbert's narrative powerfully depicts the difficulties that mental illness presents not just for those diagnosed but for the people around them, and her characters reflect the diversity of Los Angeles.
Sleeping Beauties by Stephen and Owen King suits this category just fine. Evie is most definitely an exotic being. There's also a tiger and a snake.
I used The Midnight Library by Matt Haig for this as it has a section about Polar Bears I really enjoyed this book after having no idea of the topic when I started it. So fun to find happy surprises

The Woman in the Green Dress features a white kangaroo, among other animals that are exotic to this American. I enjoyed the book, but it had significant pacing issues, and I wanted more cursed opal action.
ZooZoo 2
A fast paced quick read, with a whole lot of action. Definitely a good read during a pandemic lol
I have two that I considered in this category... the best was Once Upon a Goat.... Exotic is surely in the eye of the reader!!!
I mean, after all, a royal goat... and for those of you that don't have a goat.. I do feel sorry for you!!
The other is Elephant Company: The Inspiring Story of an Unlikely Hero and the Animals Who Helped Him Save Lives in World War II
Ended up reading Prairie Ostrich by Tamai Kobayashi got this prompt. Set in a rural Alberta town on an ostrich farm. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
The Speed of Falling Objects by Nancy Richardson Fischer.A teen novel set around a plane crash in the Amazon jungle, there are plenty of strange creatures. https://cdnbookworm.blogspot.com/2021...
I read The Book of Eels: Our Enduring Fascination with the Most Mysterious Creature in the Natural World by Patrik Svensson. Who knew eels were so interesting?!
