when reading fanfic, as you finish one story there's a bunch of recommendations and you choose one that looks interesting and so on, by the time you come out of your bingeing you would've read a lot of stories. That I think is the main reason I'm here.

Jane Austen apparently wanted them to marry as well, but for the life of me I can’t imagine how she would get there! He already had five dependents (Mrs. Blake and her children) and the person to whom he owes his livelihood, Lord Osborne, is also attracted to Emma.

183. Mr.Darcy's Excellent relations https://meryton.com/aha/index.php?/to... 4.5 stars. A really good story in which Elizabeth is Darcy's cousin, the neglected and isolated daughter of Lady Catherine. There are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors but the events and characters are well written.
184. Green Card https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... 5 stars. This is a typical rom-com with characters which were inspired by Pride and Prejudice. It was enjoyable though the way Lizzy's easy acceptance of the duplicity of marrying for money made me a bit uncomfortable.
185. A twirl in time https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13726592/0. In this story Darcy comes to Hertfordshire engaged to Miss Bingley (the horror!) And immediately feel attracted to Elizabeth. The whys behind the engagement and hows behind the HEA is what the story is about. I have always hate Caroline mainly because I felt she didn't get her just desserts (just like Wickam in the original) and mainly because I'm pissed off with Darcy for listing the shortcomings of the Bennets but never put her down for her caustic behaviour, even in Pemberley. But, boy did I hate her in this! It's a good read even though it needs an editing badly.

Beautifully written and very touching especially Elizabeth's letters. How can we not love our dear Austen if only for inspiring such wonderful stories!

194. The viscount's Goddaughter https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13788875/0 5 stars. What fun it was to read this story! This story begins with setting the background. Lord Matlock, a viscount at that time is caught in a compromise when he was very young. So his heir is nearly the same age as Mr. Bennet whom he meets at school and becomes fast friends with. As a result he is the godfather of Elizabeth though Mrs. Bennet is left ignorant of who his position. Through him, Elizabeth becomes the godsister(?) of the Colonel, best friend of Anne debourgh and a favorite of Lady Catherine! Though Darcy is aware of such a person he is ignorant of her identity, conveniently. Now the story begins and proceeds as per the original till the Netherfield ball except Elizabeth doesn't pay heed to Wickam as she hates gossip. When Lady Catherine hears from Mr. Collins' plan to propose to Elizabeth she descends upon Hertfordshire with her daughter and the fun begins! The story is filled with meddlers Lady Catherine, Anne, the Colonel, the viscount, Mr. and Mrs. Bennet even Bingley. And my most favourite character in this story surprisingly was Lady Catherine. (I never thought I'll ever say this). I loved the way she manipulated Miss Bingley, the way she took her to task over the way she treated Elizabeth and scolded Darcy for not standing up for Elizabeth. That actually was a very sour point for me in many of the books including the original. Darcy who was quick to pass judgement on the Bennets for their behaviour but never says a word about Miss Bingley's putting down of the Bennets who are socially her superiors.Great read! The only problem is the story has a lot of spelling mistakes, as the author explains that like
Mr.Bingley, her mind is faster than her fingers.
