Sowing in the Morning, by Robert Dunn, is linked to the wrong Robert Dunn. I do not think the real author has a profile on Goodreads (I personally know the author).

[Checking some older unanswered requests]

Moved the book from the claimed author profile to an unclaimed profile. Without a bio it is hard to keep authors with the same name disambiguated.

1. I moved these books to a unique author profile.

2. You have a user profile. You can claim this by going to the author profile page here: Jennifer Webb

scroll down and click on the link that says is this you?

3. There are already authors with the same name.

4. Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name by using spaces before the author's last name.

5. This author profile has 3 spaces: Jennifer^^^Webb, where the ^ equals a space.

6. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake" between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile. It is systemic and in no way implies that another author is claiming your work. Often when users add works, they may not be familiar with the number of spaces that this profile uses, so may only use the default spacing.

7. You can post in this forum to have it moved as you have done, or you can add the book with the 3 spaces between your first and last name before publication.

8. When you ask for assistance, it is helpful to include that your author profile has 3 spaces.

Goodreads differentiates between authors of the same name with spaces before the last name. Since there are several authors with your name, your author profile has 7 spaces: Paul^^^^^^^Watson where the ^ equals a space.

It will expedite your request and provide more accuracy if you will identify that your profile has 7 spaces when asking for assistance.

Hello, a few of my books are linked to the incorrect author with the same name as me (Katie Turner):

I believe my author profile has two spaces (Katie^^Turner). Is this something I will have to request every time a new book is added to Goodreads with my name? Or is there a way for me to take over the "Katie Turner" with only one space? It appears it isn't being used by that author.

Thank you very much for your quick and detailed response! It was very easy to follow your link and your explanation makes perfect sense. I was unaware that there were 3 spaces between my first and last name in my author profile. I completed the application that you linked to. Thank you again for your excellent help!
