I went with The Girl on the Train. Some mixed feelings for me there; I can see how the extremely unreliable narrator makes for a gripping read, and you want to cheer her on, but... My family tree has far too many fermented apples for me to enjoy this book, because so many bad decisions by the main character just took me back to awful moments and interactions. Plus, for anyone familiar with the genre, the villain is extremely quickly figured out, to the point where it almost becomes its own red herring, because surely it can't be this obvious?
i read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo which i assume counts? it was excellent, although i know i am late to the party on that sentiment.
I read Code Name: Verity for the challenge. I enjoyed reading it but didn't think it was amazing. The author also notes that they tried to make it as authentic as possible and to grant them some liberties. To which I say 'Fine! But I will be complaining about it the whole time.'

I read The Corset by Laura Purcell and absolutely LOVED it.What an amazing story! This is the 2nd of her books I've read and the second I've loved. The perfect blend of historical fiction, gothic setting and thriller twists. Highly recommend.
I read Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan (the third Crazy Rich Asians book), which had several flashbacks to WWII and the grandmother's actions during that time.
If you liked the other CRA books, you'll like this one. Kevin Kwan knows how to create some fun, dynamic characters. Also, I still need to eat ALL THE FOOD in this series.
