The renewed interest in pandemic narratives (Doomsday Book)

I picked it up in a second hand shop on Monday. I’m sure I’ll get around to it eventually. Been wanting to read it but it’s so big and it’s a bit daunting when you see the page numbers when you have the iPad on old person font. It’s bad enough in paperback.
Definitely a masterpiece - highly recommended as Audiobook. I know willis's repetitive style is not to everyone's liking but for me it works brilliantly.
Jacqueline, read it! Yes, it’s long, but I didn’t even notice (listening to it helped), it went by so smoothly.

Probably should read some of the others I've started first though. I think I'm currently at around 23 in my Currently Reading list. I have every intention of finishing Leviathan Wakes this month with the group. I'm currently sorting out my childhood home and then next week I will be going to help my daughter move back into the Farm with her boyfriend. She's currently 34ish weeks pregnant so that should be fun. No time for reading though. By the time I have some spare time I'm too knackered to read.
Doomsday Book
>> First impressions | Final thoughtsFor those who want to discuss the book. I didn't read the link yet, but I have it open in my browser. I'll find it later this week and read it :)
edit: I edited the thread title a bit, to make it clear this is not about the book, but about the article.

Note; article contains spoilers but it is an interesting juxtaposition of a current, for the book timeline, pandemic and one in the past (time travel is involved)
