I was so excited to see another book by Candice Fox. I really liked the Harry Blue series and the Crimson Lake series. This is the first book in the Jessica Sanchez series and while it had an interesting mystery and characters, it didn't capture me like the other two series. Maybe it was that several of the characters were a bit too quirky and several times words were misused (the story is based in LA and there were references to car bonnets, torches (flashlights), petrol and a few other non-American English items) and distracted me from the story too often...I'll give it another chance and read the next in the series when it comes out as I do like her writing.

39.)The Girl Who Raced Fairyland All the Way Home - Catherynne M. Valente

40.) Seeker - Arwen Elys Dayton

This was a big deal for me to finish, as an audio book on CD it had a whopping 37 discs!!!! In pages that equals 1138! This feat was definitely bold on my part.
