I'm in again. Listening to my first audio book of the year while I type this and catch up on my posts for other challenges. I'm aiming for level 5 this year (another 100 audio books for 2021) and looking forward to some new favorites.

2. Gathering Dark by Candice Fox; finished 4/8/21; 3 starsI was so excited to see another book by Candice Fox. I really liked the Harry Blue series and the Crimson Lake series. This is the first book in the Jessica Sanchez series and while it had an interesting mystery and characters, it didn't capture me like the other two series. Maybe it was that several of the characters were a bit too quirky and several times words were misused (the story is based in LA and there were references to car bonnets, torches (flashlights), petrol and a few other non-American English items) and distracted me from the story too often...I'll give it another chance and read the next in the series when it comes out as I do like her writing.
38.) Shadow of the Fox - Julie Kagawa39.)The Girl Who Raced Fairyland All the Way Home - Catherynne M. Valente
Our community pool opened a little over a week ago, as such, I will be reading more physical books and not being enjoying quite as many audio books for the next several months (until the end of October!!!). That being said here's the update:40.) Seeker - Arwen Elys Dayton
41.) Dreamland Burning - Jennifer Lantham
42.) Batman: Nightwalker - Marie Lu
43.) A Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess
44.) The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre DumasThis was a big deal for me to finish, as an audio book on CD it had a whopping 37 discs!!!! In pages that equals 1138! This feat was definitely bold on my part.
