Enjoyed a personal treat watching Pride & Prejudice after 🎧 audio listen
performed by Kate Beckinsale

Which version of P&P did you watch? The Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle mini-series is my favourite version.

That is my usual go-to as well William!
I dont have all my belongings with me, but found the Keira Knightley / Matthew McFadyen on the shelf so I enjoyed the variations that version offered... especially noting changes in Brenda Blethyn's role interpretation and the differences in portrayal of opulence .
We could do a group watch if you'd like .. feel free to share any other titles of interest. I have Persuasion, Emma and Sanditon on request from library wait list..

Today I watched my first ever Guido Brunetti movie from library loans. I've read every Donna Leon of the series so this was a treat!
Additional surprise being English subtitled to German dialogue (though no mention of that on front cover).
Blood from a Stone
A few more to watch, so I'll update as I go..

Anticipating this weekend's completion of the excellent series of a lengthy read of Belgravia by Julian Fellowes
Thanks to local library stock, I've watched Donna Leon's Commissario Brunetti complete series of 16 movies to date. Beautiful Venetian sea settings .
Any other Brunetti fans?

Oh fantastic! I've been rewatching as many as I can before library return due dates!
And yes, have read all but possibly one that a movie seemed new to me...

I finally watched the Keira Knightley one on the weekend. I think I looked the setting more. In my mind it seemed more realistic than the other one, but who knows. It certainly moved along quicker, which isn't surprising, considering how much shorter it is. Very enjoyable, anyway. I think the book is due a reread, as it's a few years since I read it.
