My husband loves a novella called 'A Chess Story" or "The Royal Game" by Stefan Zweig that would be fun if you can find it, especially of you're into chess at moment after a 'Queen's Gambit binge. It would also work as a book about a game.

The mention of Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata & translated by Ginny Tapley Takemori on your youtube video of ideas caught my attention so I'm going to read that one.

I am reading Miss Iceland by Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir which was translated from Icelandic to English by Brian Fitzgibbon

The Red Address Book by Sofia Lundberg. Completed 30 Jan 2021.

An old Swedish woman shares her memories of a life of hardship and joy and unrequited love with her much younger niece through a written memoir based on the people in her address book.

Anything by Jules Verne... My son and I just finished Around the World in 80 Days. We enjoyed it immensely.

Fredrik Backman's books also. I really liked Anxious People. I need to read A Man Called Over.

I read Snowblind by Ragnar Jonasson that was translated from Icelandic.

I read "And Every Day The Way Home Gets Longer and Longer"...and balled my eyes out for the whole 2-3 hours it took. Such a good novella!

I did end up reading Convenience Store Woman. It was a quick read & an interesting view into how other people might be living. Loved the ending.

I finally read my first Murakami!!! Boy have I been missing out. Now I want to grab and devour all his books. I read Killing Commendatore.
