22%: (view spoiler)[Okay, this is starting off pretty slowly for me and I feel bad for both MC's right now. Especially Roma. Not sure how she had the courage to do that to her face but she is definitely brave. (hide spoiler)]

45%: (view spoiler)[Not a big fan of this world or these characters so far. Also Amma is annoying me. I'm hoping this gets better because it's taking me FOREVER to get through. (hide spoiler)]

71%: (view spoiler)[I REALLY don't want Roma to break while she is being put in this horrible and unnecessary prison time with these assholes. Yes, I said assholes because Amma is THE asshole. So are the people who live around them. Roma needs to run away. (hide spoiler)]

100%: (view spoiler)[Okay, so I feel like nothing really happened for most of this book and like the last 25% of this was the most exciting thing to happen. After that epilogue, I'm intrigued enough to dive into the next book. Whenever that's available. (hide spoiler)]

I'll start this once I finish Starsight and These violent Delights. Hopefully will be done with both tomorrow or friday

It is a slow start for sure!

It's depressing I wish there was more hope even though the world is harsh or more fighting back from the beginning

Same, it kind of seems like everyone just goes with it even though it sucks.

I posted my thoughts on our other thread in the other group. Just glad to be done honestly. I think I will read the next one just because I want to know what will happen but I think I'll rate it 2 stars

Yeah I saw! I'm sorry that you didn't like it that much!

Whenever a book is like overwhelmingly sad I just don't like it as much. It's ok though. I still want to find out what will happen in the next one.
