Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is well <3

I want to share a couple of resources I found that some of you might find of use:

Openculture and Open Text Library. Each of these sites has lists and links to free philosophy books online, and books on matters related to sentientism. The latter has a link to Animals and Ethics 101: Thinking Critically About Animal Rights Animals and Ethics 101 Thinking Critically About Animal Rights by Nathan Nobis by Nathan Nobis , Morehouse College. You can read the book online here . Enjoy!

All the best,

Kat :)

Mmm... I'll give it a try, but it has a score of 3/5... I can't help but think the book is, well... mediocre. (Yes, yes... Sometimes scores are not the best way to determine goodness. That's precisely why I'll be reading it.)

Malola, you are one of the most prolific readers I've ever "met" -- Good on you! Yes, it's why reviews are such a valuable thing, not just ratings. I noticed the last link (above) no longer works, but both OpenCulture Open Text Library link to the author's blog with the book Animals & Ethics 101:
Thinking Critically About Animal Rights
.

FYI, folks may find of interest this online journal for publications of academic research: Animal Sentience. Seems interesting, I only skimmed through it. I can't say whether these articles (or studies) contain accurate data (research or findings) even though they are scholarly.

Malola (the_queen_bee_malola) | 29 comments lol Thanks, Kat. *blushes*

BTW, thanks for the resources.
I hadn't heard of the Animal Sentience journal until now... It has a quite interesting format. One author postulates a topic and in the webpage they've made threats of criticisms/replies which makes it easier to read contrarian opinions.

I'm looking forward reading this given some of the people in the Editorial Board are well known scholars (I recognised Peter Singer, William Kymlicka, Marc Beckoff...) and it's integrated only by philosophers/ethicists, but by biologists/scientiests as well.
Thanks again!

No problem, Malola :) I like that format, too. In general, and especially these days, I just love anything that's free and online, with a variety of editorials and authors.
