Marcus glanced at her. “Remember.” He said. “If you want to train, then you can’t use magic. This area is practically Venandi central, and you will DIE.” He smiled, and handed her a dagger.
Marcus nodded. “Good. Wouldn’t want my new lover to die already.” He patted her head. “This way.”
Marcus made slight twists, and even stopped for a bagel, but eventually they got to the courtyard. Right in front of them was a large expanse of land, bare.
Galaxy darted past them not caring if anyone saw her, she was just trying to get back over to Pierce and Gold before they thought someone kidnapped her again
Cas dashed into the cathedral, deep blue cloak flowing like the night sky itself was chasing her. Her golden eyes practically glowed, her skin shimmered with magic threatening to overflow.
Dante Infernalis was not having a good week. It all started when his girlfriend (apparently her real name was Delilah) decided to not only kidnap him and throw him in a cathedral full of Venandi, but then tortured him.
He was having a very bad day.
He was having a very bad day.
(plZZZZZ- NOT DANTEEEE)
Cas skidded to a halt once she’d reached him, golden, ichor-like liquid dripping down her fingers. Her magic was practically leaking out of her.
“Dante?” Her voice was a haunted whisper, and her eyes were wide.

Dante couldn’t speak. Delilah had him bound into a throne next to him, magic zipping his lips, and keeping him down. Cas could see the scars though. Delilah stood. “That was wonderfully quick, was it not?”
“Let him go, you wicked bitch.” Cas snarled, her eyes going white. Power practically poured off of her in waves, her fists clenched. Her mother’s blood wasn’t exactly something she’d ever been proud of, but she’d be damned if it didn’t give her a hell of an advantage.
Delilah tilted her head. “Are you threatening me? When you are in a cathedral full of Venandi that can sense your magic as soon as you use it?” She lifted her hand lazily.
“You think Venandi will stop me? I’ll burn this entire cathedral to the ground after I’ve gotten Dante out of here. I could set them aflame without even thinking about it. And besides, you have magic as well, and I’m sure this won’t be an easy battle.” Flame licked at Caspian’s wrists now, circling the tanned skin and practically shimmering.
Dante’s eyes flickered. He needed to tell Cas that they were woven. If Delilah died, he died.
Unless he managed to break the distance between them.
He searched a d searched his brain, then paused. Chaos. CHAOS.

Cas noticed, and glanced over at him, the flames licking up to her elbows now. Then she remembered.
Telepathy. All witches were born with telepathy.
She wove her way into Dante’s mind, asking what he needed to tell her.

Woven.
It was one word, but Dante knew Cas would get it. They understood each other that way.
His eyes rolled in the back of his head as he summoned his Chaos. He remembered what Cas said about it. Unfurl it. Start from the center and let it bloom.
So he did just that, and smiled when the first bound of magic broke.

Cas just needed to keep Delilah distracted. She nodded once, the movement so small and subtle only Dante would’ve seen it.
“So, what’s your plan of action, Delilah? Kill me? Take me hostage and torture me? I’m sure you could be rid of me with a snap of your fingers. Or do you know I’ll beat you? Are you waiting for me to put my guard down?”

The next bond of magic snapped, and Dante slowly stood. He needed to get Ace, and then him and Cas could leave. “ Ace “ He mouthed to her, wincing as the last bond snapped.
(SO WHAT DO I DO BRUH MY BRAIN HURTS)
Cas returned soon, the child not with her. Trickery. She’d act like she couldn’t find her, and tell Dante where she was.
‘Waterfall.’ she transferred to him, giving him the vision of the child sitting at the rocks, playing in the water.
“Alright, you wretched bitch.” Cas snarled at Delilah, a sickening smile on her lips.

Delilah gave her a sweet smile, that chilled Dante more to the bone than Delilah’s magic. She stood, and waved a hand, that was covered in magic. “Shall we?”
“We shall.” Cas smiled still, her eyes never leaving Delilah’s. Magic licked at her heels, the flames growing but not burning her. It shimmered with gold.
Delilah was the first to strike. She barred the doors, Dante already running for Ace. She looked at Cas and sent a bolt of her dark magic towards her.
Let your power engulf you, little Caspian. Become the embodiment of your magic.
The only helpful words Eleonora had ever said to her. So Caspian did just that. Her eyes glowed with a white, tinted golden, light, and golden, ichor like liquid dripped from her tanned skin. Her entire body seemed alight with sheer power. The magic bounced off of her, the light in her eyes dimming just for a moment before returning full force. The cathedral doors slammed open, an entire flock of pure white doves having shoved them open. They took refuge in the high beams of the cathedral, watching with their beady little eyes. It was like Caspian controlled the force of nature itself, like she controlled how the Earth turned and how the sun rose every day, not to mention how the moon shone at night.

Delilah’s eyes widened with...
Was it fear?
Delight?
She didn’t know. She shook her head and smiled, and sent a bolt of her magic towards Caspian. “This would’ve never happened,” She cried, “had you just went with Eleonora.”

“I’ll never let that wicked bitch have me.” Cas growled, her voice a thunderous echo. She seemed to absorb the bolt of magic, rolling her shoulders back like she was practically drawing all the magic towards her. She sent, not a bolt, a wave of magic. It was like when you’re trying to run from an enormous wave in the ocean, like it’s inescapable, like no matter how hard you try you don’t make it any farther away.
Delilah felt the magic, and knew there was no point in trying to avoid it. So she just casted her magic, wrapped it around her, and let it wash over her. “And why is that? Mommy issues? Dante? You know he doesn’t love you, right? Look he quickly he forgot about you and went to me.”
“Even so, he’s as good as dead with you.” Caspian says, letting her magic engulf Delilah. Letting it creep into her senses and override them. Sending a piercing ringing to her ears. A empty pit of black to her eyes. Numbness to her fingertips. A sandpaper feel to her tongue, where all she could taste was the parched roof of her mouth.
It went dark. Delilah lifted her hand to her eyes, waved her magic in front of her face. “I’ve trained for this, as much as you.” She turned towards Cas, and took a step. “I am a Grimoire, you bitch. I know, I am more than you’ll ever expect.” She took another step, this one higher in the air. The wind seemed to rattle around her, the ringing of Cas’ magic not helping.
“You aren’t showing me that. You are showing me weakness. Defeat. You know this isn’t going to end well for you. Save your empty threats for those you meet beyond the grave.” Cas spat, her voice echoing through the walls and even farther beyond that. Her voice was thunderous now. A roar. It was like the woman was made of power entirely, power and potential unchecked.
Delilah tilted her head. “Then show me. Don’t even hold back when it comes to me. I might just...” she paused and rose higher and higher into the air, her eyes going black, dripping with the black goo, “ kill you .”
She flew at Cas.
She flew at Cas.
A sword materialised in Caspian’s hands, made of magic and stardust. She slashed Delilah across the face, then slid behind her. She stabbed the sword into Delilah’s back, the metal going through her bones and muscle.
Delilah fell to her knees, and grunted as it hit the bone. She smiled, as a loud, echous thump sounded through the room. “Did you think I would come alone?”
“Did you think that would make me back down?” Cas growled, pride blooming in her chest at the sight of the blood on the sword’s metal. Her eyes flickered to Dante, her hair falling in her eyes and hanging over her shoulders.
Dante froze. “Cas?” He whispered. “What the fuck is that? “ In front of him, a demon. A greater demon, in fact, with long jagged teeth, blue skin, and incredibly horrid breath.
Acelopina squirmed with uncomfort, her meek voice ringing out,
“Mommy?” Before leaping out of Dante’s arms. She stood below the demon, grinning up at it.
“Hello, I’m Ace!”
(BIG DEMON SOFT BABY FRIEND
BUT IF NOT ACE WILL LITERALLY GO OFF)

Dante’s eyes widened. “Ace, no—“ The demon titled its head, then slowly, got to its knees. Dante watched it, confused expression on his face. Ace giggled. “Hi.” She said, in her (always) loud voice. “I’m Ace!” The infamous Aelin Galathynius could probably hear her voice. The demon nodded and let out a grunt.
Ace began to pet the demon’s head, gentle.
“I’m gonna name you... Bloo!” She grinned, patting the demon’s head like it was a pet dog.
“I’m gonna name you... Bloo!” She grinned, patting the demon’s head like it was a pet dog.
Dante opened then closed his mouth. “She... she named it.” He was dumbfounded. Then, he seemingly regained his composure. “Well we need to leave anyway, before we get discover by Venandi and all die! So bye, Bloo? You can’t fit inside the house, anyway.” He made his way towards the door.
Ace frowned, hugging the huge demon protectively.
“Bloo can be an outside demon. He could help Mommy in the garden.” Caspian cleaned off her blade, and with a wave of her wrist let Delilah’s corpse vanish.
“Well... you did more or less save my life.”

Dante blinked. “You can’t be serious? A demon, as a what? A pet?” Bloo blinked at Dante, then let out a small, little growl of excitement. Then, it shrinked. Dante stared. “Oh my god.” He whispered.
Ace picked up the demon, grinning wide as she cradled it like a baby.
“Alright, Bloo! Are you ready to go home?” She cooed, and Cas sighed.
“I suppose we could keep it. We’d better get going home.” She murmured. She pulled the hood of her cloak over her head, rolling her shoulders back.

Dante sighed, and followed after Cas, muttering to himself about stupid demons, and stupid Delilah, and stupid ideas. He tried to keep the smile off his face.
