for those who dont know :)
The euthanasia medication most vets use is pentobarbital, a seizure medication. In large doses, it quickly renders the pet unconscious. It shuts down their heart and brain functions usually within one or two minutes. It is usually given by an IV injection in one of their legs.

Bumble Greenbriar (hernameiscrumpet) | 99 comments I think it’s really sad but it might be the only way, it’s better for pets who haven’t had owners come for them in 4 years to be put down painlessly instead of pining and living in cramped conditions due to overcrowding.
