Thanks Brenda. I was three short of my goal for 2020 so really want to finish with a flourish in 2021. Happy New Year to you and happy reading in 2021.
No. 1. Bruny by Heather RoseThis is a perfect book for the start to my 2021 challenge. Thoroughly enjoyable.
No. 3. Riptides by Kirsten Alexander. Good mystery and very satisfactory outcome. Set in Brisbane in 1974/5 which is very familiar territory for me. 4 stars
No. 4. The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams.March Bookclub choice. Should be a good discussion. 4 stars from me.
No. 5. Lost and Found in Translation: Who can talk to Country, by Kim Mahood essay featured in Griffith Review 63. 4 stars.
No. 6. Mr Wigg by Inga Simpson. An absolutely delightful novel by a wonderful Australian author. 5 stars.
No. 7. The Book of Australian Trees by Inga SimpsonI bought this book for my granddaugter to show her some of our Australian trees. It is a lovely edition with a simple but sound explanation of each tree and beautifully illustrated by Alicia Rogerson.
No 8. One Italian Summer: Across the World and Back in Search of the Good Life by Pip Williams.Delightfully written account of three wonderful months working as WOOFERS in different locations in Italy. 4 stars
