Play Book Tag discussion

Having thoroughly enjoyed Hiaasen’s recent, Squeeze, and needing escape, I picked up Chomp at the library. Maybe it was too much of a good thing or maybe the subject wasn’t as pertinent —Squeeze was set at a Mar-a-Lago type place— but I found it nowhere near as amusing. It had the usual crazy characters and wild antics one expects from Hiaasen but it fell short somewhere. I’ll wait another two or three years before reading another— or maybe try some of his non-fiction. I’ve always thought he was thoughtful and knew his subject well.
