Ambitious "Home Alone". I'll envy you when you accomplish it!

message 6: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 20 comments Almeta, so far the most I have been able to read of the home alone books in a year is 22. This will be a stretch, but I really want to read and pass along some books.

I do have a question. Sometimes when I go back to check on my challenges, the book number is less than the actual number read. Occasionally it will adjust after I open the challenge but frequently is doesn't. Is there something else that I should do? Thanks.

Yep, I'm afraid this happens to me also. It is never consistent. This problem was reported way back in Beta testing AND it feels as though they just threw up their hands and ignored the bug.

The only way I know of to get the correct result is to "force" an update by re-entering the goal and shelf name. I usually do this at year-end.

message 8: by Roz (new)

Roz | 39 comments That happens to me all the time. I usually go into the challenge, eg. Serial Eyes, to see the actual (real) number of books and "refresh" then go back out and "refresh" again. Magic! Everything is now aligned properly (at least for that particular challenge).

Deborah | 33 comments Usually just clicking view books fixes it for me.

Wow! You have found an easier way to "force" the update. Duh.

Purple Iris (purpleiris) | 61 comments Yes, view books usually fixes it for me as well.

I think I am just going to do Classics this year. Hopefully third time will be the charm!

Thanks for the response. I have tried the "view books" and it is hit or miss as to whether it corrects or not. Good luck to all in your reading goals!
