Chapter 21: (view spoiler)[ Hearing the story about what happened to Circe's son when he went to visit his father's island was sad. It's too bad he was exposed to the realities of the world and he accidently killed his father. Circe tried so hard to prevent her son from leaving and to keep him safe. In the end, Athena was right. He would end up doing something so bad that Circe would end up regretting.
And Odysseus seemed to have lost it when he returned home, constantly in a bad mood and convinced people are conspiring against him. I even feel bad for Odysseus's first son since he never got to witness the father that everyone talked well about. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 22: (view spoiler)[ More details about why Penelope and Telemachus are in Aiaia were revealed. I can't believe Athena is this cruel. I keep forgetting that in the original mythologies the gods/goddesses were like that. Now that Odysseus is dead, she wants her new hero to be Telemachus. I feel like we will soon see them confronting Athena. (hide spoiler)]

I have about 5 chapters left and my goal is to try to finish this book tomorrow!

I still find it baffling how much time passes in Circe's life when just a minute or an hour would pass in ours! time must move so slow

Same here! Time must go so slow for the immortals. She's been alive for thousands of years and the world has changed while she was stuck on the island.

Chapter 24: (view spoiler)[ Telegonus has officially left the island for good. I wasn't expecting him to end up agreeing the Athena's terms and decide to be a hero. I am glad though he can start having a life outside the island. I do feel bad for Circe since she will definitely miss her child after being with him for 16 years. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 25: (view spoiler)[ I'm proud of Circe for standing up to her father and demanding him to help with ending her exile! I'm also glad to see she finally left the island and was able to defeat Scylla. (hide spoiler)]

And I'm done! (view spoiler)[ I'm glad to see Circe having a happy ending and end up having a husband and two daughters. (hide spoiler)]

Ahh! I'm glad her life ends well considering everything she's gone through. So many people use her and underestimate her when she holds so much power. There egos must be quaking. One thing that did confuse me is when she called herself a goddess because I thought she was an immortal witch or a nymph.

I'm over halfway done with Circe.

Yeah I was confused about that too. I'm guessing they call all immortals they meet goddess?

Quite possible. I mean she even called herself a goddess. There are so many interpretations of Greek myths it's hard to keep my head straight. 😂
