Aww thanks Kristie and none I was hoping for Kristie and aww thanks Vicki Willis and I agree with you Vicki Willis and Jayme I was a very good girl this year
I recently tried my first audio book and it was so mesmerizing...I can't believe how much I was missing out on... I now have 3 more audiobooks lined up...
The part I love the most is the fact that I can now read at every single moment.... I can listen to audiobooks while I am cooking, cleaning, walking.... It's so liberating...
I remember a discussion with Kristie where she talked about she had fallen in love with audio books... Thanks for that, because it piqued my interest and look where I am now!
That’s great, Gunit! I love audiobooks too! If you’ve got a good narrator, it really brings a lot of nuance to the story. What was your first audiobook?
That's true... I never thought I'd be able to focus long enough to listen to an audiobook, but it was actually completely effortless...My first one was Anxious People by Fredrick Backman, narrated by Marin Ireland...
Do you remember your first one?
I also enjoy audio books, but it doesn't help me when I'm trying to get me to read faster. I don't' want to "read fast" where words are skipped, I want to read more words per minute.
That is true, Elsa. Audiobooks are slower reads for me too (typically). I mostly use them for times that I wouldn't be reading otherwise. Like at the gym or mowing the lawn!
I started listening to audiobooks when I was working as a therapist in a group home and had a long commute. I found it was the perfect way to add some reading time in and it got my mind off my job better than music.
I wish I was a faster reader as well, but I am someone who hears the story out loud in my head as I read and that seems to keep my reading slower.

Me too, Christine. I do both. That's why I usually have two books going at once. I have one that I'm listening to and one that I'm reading. I don't have as much time as I would like to sit and read, so the audiobooks are useful when I have other things to do.
I’m so happy that your on my side Kristie and I could never do both Kristie and oh that’s cool Kristie and oh ok Kristie and I would fall asleep listening to an audiobook Kristie
Haha, oh well we can't have that, Christine. You wouldn't get much reading done if you fell asleep every time.
Lol your funny Kristie lol and yeah I know Kristie and yeah I know Kristie and yeah I know Vicki Willis and oh that’s cool Vicki Willis
Hi everyone,Does anyone else have an issue with our Currently reading or finished 2025 section?
By the section's title, it indicates that there should be an update on February 14th but when I click on it, there is no Feb 14th entry.
All the rest of the sections seem to be working fine.
Would be interested in your thoughts.
Not sure exactly what you mean. Am going to click around.Edited
Oh i see what you mean.
Christine posted a cover of a book on the 14th.
Are you on the app, Susan? I also see a book cover posted on the 14th. A lot of times the app messes up those posts.
Hi Kristie and Vicki,Thanks very much for your replies. I am on the Goodreads website on my computer, not an app on my phone.
How strange that I seem to be having this issue. I have never had this problem before.
The last post on my currently reading or finished 2025 section was February 9th.
Could you possibly let me know if there have been any other posts in that section since then? Thanks.
Seems like you are on the first page for some reason. That page ends Feb 9th. There are a few additional post after that. Try scrolling to the bottom of the page. Below the last comment you should see a spot where you can click to page 2 or next. That should bring up the newer ones.
