I can try to be a moderate. I’ve never read it but I read the description. I’ve never done this before but.
I really liked this book, it reminded me of my favorite true crime podcasts, to which my older daughter and I listen frequently. (She even flew to Ireland to see one of them live as she had no luck getting tickets domestically & had law cases to oversee in England afterwards, made it a combined work/vacation trip with her husband). I found Sadie’s story enthralling, her character & love for her sister fierce, and read the book really fast. Excellent read, passed it on to my daughter who will love it, I know.
I really liked Sadie. I thought it was definitely an interesting mystery book and the main character was very likable as well. The ending left me shocked but (spoilers ahead) I liked that you kind of got to imagine yourself what happened to Sadie. Anyways, this was one of my favorite reads and I 100% recommend it to anyone who likes a good mystery.
I've read Sadie, but I didn't like it as much. It is well written but is so very depressing - not just the kind of book that makes you cry, but it leaves the reader with the feeling of a loss of hope. I did like the idea of the podcast, which elevated it beyond the average mystery.
Just finished my reread of this book yesterday, and I would say that its a lot better experience than the first time I read this. I actually listened to the audiobook, and would definitely recommend reading this in that format. It has a full cast of characters and works really well with the podcast formatting.

The full cast just really brings it to life and I'm so in love with the whole story already
This book was really haunting. You find yourself on the edge of your seat waiting to see, and almost knowing, what happened to Sadie. This book is one that exposes the horrors of the world. The ending of this book is what makes it so real. I was hooked from the moment I started this book.
I love this book so much! I read it two years ago and still think about it at least once a week. Absolutely heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time.
I had no idea this book existed until it was the book of the month in this group. So I just want to say thank you to Addicted to YA! I finished it within two days, and I definitely agree with Gabby and Trinity that the audiobook is really the way to go because it kept me intrigued :) I loved the main character and you can really feel her struggle but also strength. Sad book yes, and (possible spoiler ahead?) the ending just got me feeling empty and after I just stared at my bedroom ceiling feeling numb haha.
Gabi wrote: "Started last night! Really enjoying it so far - loving the mixed formatting between Sadie and the podcast. Almost wish there was an accompanying podcast so you can listen and read. I know there is ..."Gabi, I really like this idea. If they make it into a movie, I hope they keep the podcast.
I read this book at school today in 3 hours. It was interesting, and the podcast was a nice touch. I wanted to continue reading to find out what happened, so that was good. However, I don't really feel comfortable with the heavy subject matter in the book. I would not read it again, but it was objectively good, just not my thing.
The only time I listen to audiobooks is on my commute and I'm rarely driving these days between online school and COVID, but I'm loving it so much and I can't wait to see how it ends
I tried to read and honestly was bored but I swapped out to the audio book and it was phenomenal! The ending thoughmmm I couldn't believe it was ended like that. But honestly, seems realistic.
I just finished the audiobook today. I see what you guys are saying about that ending but I also agree that it's pretty realistic.
I finished the book and it was - wow just wow. I think the ending fit the story really well. And Sadie’s love for her sister is admirable. I also think that the podcast was a nice touch. Overall, this book was amazing!
Ugh I absolutely hated this book. I know loads of people love it I found it really boring and Sadie as character was so unrealistic and laughable. I think I would have liked it better if I had the audiobook tho
