If a wolf doesn't have a mate yet (Like Kai) they can still be an alpha, Take Twilight for an example, She is the Luna of a pack and she has no mate, this doesn't mean that the alpha's need to have a mate to be an alpha. In this roleplay, a wolf can be an alpha then find a mate later on, sometimes a few weeks after they become alpha

Personality: Asura is...complex. He is sensitive, timid and has low self-esteem and a brooding look on life. He is quiet, secretive and cautious, but he also has a much darker side.
