I'm starting Circe this week! Can't wait! I love Greek Mythology and I always want to learn more.

Greek mythology is always fun to read! I'll probably be starting this week. I'm almost done with my buddy read of the Hunger Games trilogy!

Ooh. How was the hunger games? I tried it and didn't like it much.

It's a reread for me and so far I'm liking it as much as I did the first time around! The second is still my favourite out of the trilogy.

That's good! I remember liking the catching fire movie though some of it was sad. Glad you still like the trilogy!

Ok. So I've read the first few chapters and I can tell that this is probably going to be a character driven story which I probably should've known from the start given the title and synopsis. Seeing how everyone treats Circe is kind of sad.

Ok. So I am actually really enjoying this book so far. Nothing has really happened plotwise except (view spoiler)[ the punishment of Prometheus (hide spoiler)] but I am enjoying learning more about Greek Mythology and some new deities as well as the development of Circe. The writing is beautiful as well!

Question w/POTENTIAL SPOILER

(view spoiler)[ How do you think the relationship with Circe and Glaucos' will fair especially after his reaction to the age difference? Is there something in G. Myths that say how their relationship with end up even after she is banished to the deserted island. Tbh, I'm not sure it will last but I'm interested to see how it ends. (hide spoiler)]

Just started this book and finished chapter 3! I'm liking it so far! Its interesting learning more about Greek mythology and seeing the interactions between the characters.

I like Circe as a main character. You can see the good in her. I also feel so bad for her because her own family is rude to her.

Yeah... Gods are vain and think they are superior and I guess in some ways they are but they have a big ego about it and put others supposedly less than down. It sucks. Her brother Aeëtes was probably the nicest to her. and even then he felt... condescending?

Yeah it was sad even how he still felt condescending . (view spoiler)[ That scene were he told her he's leaving and she shouldn't expect him to stay forever was disappointing. I really thought he would always be by her side since they were so close. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not really sure if their relationship will last. I have a feeling something bad will happen. I haven't seen an example of this in Greek mythology yet, but I'm curious to see how this will end!

Just finished chapter 5! (view spoiler)[ I can't believe Glaucos!! He becomes immortal and he ends up forgetting all about Circe. I feel bad for Circe and I don't really blame her for wanting to take revenge on Scylla... (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Exactly. Glaucos thinking he all that and a bag of chips. puh-lease! Circe is being dealt an awful hand. I understand why she took revenge on Scylla but I don't exactly like why she did so. I wouldn't turn someone into a goblin just because the person I thought I was dating/thought liked me ended up not liking me enough to want to be with me and choose them. But apparently she wasn't good anyways if people didn't really mourn her being turned into a 12 leg fish thingy (hide spoiler)]
