4. When Cardinal Sarah became archbishop of Conakry, he was the youngest bishop in the Catholic Church in the world. Why do you think Pope Paul VI made that decision?

Jill A. | 920 comments This chapter says very little about the responsibilities and challenges of being a bishop and more--what I missed in the first chapter--about his interior life, especially the absolute centrality of the Eucharist.
I was amazed at his courage in criticizing the heartlessness of his government.
I was surprised and edified by the welcome Pope St. John Paul II received from Muslims.
He so effectively links humanitarian aid with evangelism. Together they are the outpouring of God's overwhelming love.
