You probably could read this one without reading the first 2 since there is uaually a little review at the beginning. We did read the first 2 books. Their threads are in Archives-Buddy Reads. If you read them and comment in the threads you will receive the badge.

I love how Harry sees Murphy.
There was a lot going on between the last book and this book, and I almost felt like we missed something. Harry explains it, but I would have liked to see it!

Yes, we do get thrown into this one and I feel like we missed something.

It is getting crazy out there. Leanansidhe is crazy! I definitely wouldn't want to be on her bad side. Vampires!

The vampires in this series are horrible!
Do we ever find out how Lea became Harry's godmother? I can't remember. He should have known better than to make a deal with her!

I think we find out later more about that. Maybe next book?

I just finished. I feel sorry for Harry. He was just trying to help everyone but it blew up in his face.
I like Thomas, too. You can’t trust him, but he’s OK.… For a vampire, lol. I really like Harry and Susan together. I hate how he feels responsible for her, even though she’s the one who went to the ball on her own.

I liked them together, too. Susan made the choice to go to the party, even though Harry told her how dangerous it was.

Description: Harry Dresden - Wizard
Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, or Other Entertainment.
Harry Dresden has faced some pretty terrifying foes during his career. Giant scorpions. Oversexed vampires. Psychotic werewolves. It comes with the territory when you're the only professional wizard in the Chicago-area phone book.
But in all Harry's years of supernatural sleuthing, he's never faced anything like this: The spirit world has gone postal. All over Chicago, ghosts are causing trouble - and not just of the door-slamming, boo-shouting variety. These ghosts are tormented, violent, and deadly. Someone - or something - is purposely stirring them up to wreak unearthly havoc. But why? And why do so many of the victims have ties to Harry? If Harry doesn't figure it out soon, he could wind up a ghost himself....
